I’ve been using State Farm for my car and rental insurance coverage for awhile now. When I moved to California a couple years ago, I went to Jim Russo’s office to transfer my coverage. It was very easy, I just went in, answered a bunch of questions, signed the paperwork, and ta da, I was done. The lady who helped me was very nice.
I find that it’s difficult to compare insurance costs/​value because there are so many factors involved, but I’ve always felt like I’ve been getting a good deal with State Farm. After talking to some of my friends, it seems like I pay less than they do for the same amount of coverage.
Anyway, I haven’t had to file any claims yet (thank goodness), but otherwise I’ve never had a problem with them.
As an added bonus they send me a birthday card every year with a coupon for a free donut and coffee. Yum!
