Dick’s Towing & Auto Repair

After a long series of road service phone calls (8) to my insurance company, who I have since canceled.
and towing companies 130 miles from my location calling me, they finally got it right and Adam from dicks towing showed up. From there nothing but great service. Mini was dropped off and Adam (nice guy) followed up with call to let me know. Their on speed dial now just in case. Great service!

I was amazed at how efficient, professional and trustworthy Dick’s Towing was. The tow truck arrived on time. Frank, the driver, had my car out of a steep embankment in 20 minutes! They charged me a fair price, which matched the quote I received up front. I would recommend Dicks to any family member.

They did the work I asked for at a fair price. More than fair, actually. They ran into some extra labor, but stuck with their estimate. Quality work from an honest shop.

We were traveling across the country and our truck’s engine blew. As terrible as that sounds we couldnt have landed in a better place. This auto shop was absolutely amazing. They were the nicest, most honest and genuine mechanic shop we’ve ever experienced.
They went above and beyond to help us figure out options, housed our car on their lot and checked in with us whenever they got the chance. They gave us an AMAZING UNBEATABLE price for everything and made our unfortunate obstacle so easily fixable.
We cannot thank them enough. Wish this was our hometown mechanic.

I called to make an appointment to get the tire pressure checked on my RV. (Has duel tires in the rear and the valves are hard to get to.) I have gone there for other things with different vehicles, and have always been treated fairly and charged a fair price for work done. This time they were very nice to check this for me and didn’t charge me. Thanks guys…

I’ve used Dick’s when he was across the highway. Great, fast reliable service. I have real trust issues with mechanics, but the staff at Dicks are honest and capable of assuring me my car will be fixed or smogged right and at a fair price

I’ve had many experiences with Dick’s in Prunedale. From fixing a flat (many flats) to breaks, belts etc. They NEVER overcharge. They won’t try to get you to fix stuff that doesn’t need fixing, which is a huge plus to me as a woman who doesn’t know much about cars. I agree with the other reviewer, if you’re coming in to chat about random stuff, forget about it. They are super nice though, just put mechanical matters first.

Dick’s has been a staple of the Prunedale community for some 40 years or so. Operating a full-​service gas/​auto/​tow station near the intersection of highway 101 & 156, they have relocated the automotive & tow service to San Miguel Canyon. The staff knows their stuff and does their job in a competent and professional manner.
I will say that the mechanics are mostly pretty «old school” – meaning they can come across as rather stand-​offish and impatient at times if you don’t really know them. However, they are professionals, and they don’t behave that way in order to be rude, they’re just direct and no-​nonsense. Despite that initial appearance, they are all very customer service oriented, and will go out of their way to make sure the job is done right and the customer is satisfied.
