History

Established in 1950.

The company was started by Jack Lavine and Norm Kujawski in 1950. Dale grew up in the family business, starting in the industry at the age of 17. The name was changed to Honeys Air when the company was split into two. Honeys Air has made customer service the most important part of the company and continues to provide the best service in the Modesto area.

I started in the Air Conditioning business working in the shop making sheet metal boxes at 12 years old, and in High school I would work in the summer. In 1975 I went full time and never looked back. I learned early on you are only as good as the people on your staff. My father said never make a promise you cant keep, always do what you say and you will always be in business. Next year I will have been in the HVAC business for 40 years, my how time flies!

To begin with i did project work in the commercial sector for 35+ years. The one thing i learned is you never know everything and a great contractor makes the project work. I asked for things on my HVAC & Solar upgrades that the normal home owner probably would never asked but the install crews willingly complied with without question. For me this company is totally customer oriented… how can you ask for more…

I was out of state for work when my A/​C went out at home. I contacted Honey’s through there website on a Sunday, got a call first thing Monday morning and a prompt appointment. Tommy (technician) called to tell me what time he’d arrive (window was 12−2pm) which was nice. Did his diagnostic and repairs quickly, cleaned up and A/​C works great! First class service from this place, highly recommend.

Excellent service and customer support. When they got into our attic they noticed that the air ducts were ran wrong and they not only did what they were hired for, but they fixed the problem we had. Went through Costco and got back 10% on a gift card. I will be using Honey’s Air from now on.

We already knew going in that we needed a new system. It was a matter of which one to buy and what company to do business with. Happy to say we decided to go with Honey’s. Their reputation and longevity speak for themselves. My in-​laws went with another company in Modesto a few years back and the company went down because of the owners abuse and mismanagement. Then his brother takes over. Very suspicious. And they no longer honored the warranties given prior to the mismanagement!!! How unfair. Honey’s not only put our system in but went the extra mile to help my in-​laws get their system going. My husband and I were so pleased we recommended them to my sister in law and they got a system too… Which they needed. The old one was dead. Our family will be extra comfortable this summer and many years to come. Felipe did all the calls paperwork and such for us and gave us much information and always answered my husbands questions and kept him informed through the process. He (Felipe) credited his installation crew so much and I really liked that these guys back each other up. They are on the right track. All the extra details they put into our experience did not go unnoticed. Felipe came on install day and checked on his crew. Bought pizza and even my boys got to eat.
Most of all I know I bought a quality system. Win! win!

After meeting with Honey’s Air & Solar through Costco and setting up a free estimate appointment regarding my burnt out AC/​Heat unit, I meet with Jeff B. I had explained to Jeff what the situation was and he explained very thoroughly what Honey could do for me. I was very impressed with what he had to say. There was no BS or over-​promising, he just stated the facts which was great. Consequently, I decided to go with the replacement of my AC/​Heat unit and have had NO REGRETS! The new unit works fine and I mentioned to Jeff that I would like to contact him again and request for Corey and George as installers. I did have Jeff come out to visit my parents home to possibly replace there furnace as well. I have no qualms about recommending Jeff B, Corey, George and Honey’s Air & Solar for any AC/​Heat needs. These guys are great!!!

Of course I didn’t like spending the money on a new unit, but I picked the right place to do it. Everyone who I’ve dealt with provided me great customer service. When they sent Johnny out to check my old unit and go over my options for a new unit, I felt that he was knowledgeable and very honest. I’ve had the unit for over 6 months and it’s been working wonderfully! I love it! They also sent a very nice guy out to do the seasonal maintenance. I am very pleased with this company and I am thankful for the service that they provided.

Solar review– Again fabulous service! I can’t brag enough about this wonderful company. My solar install took only 2 days. My team was efficient, friendly and very knowledgable. I was informed throughout the entire process about what was happening and what steps were next to get my system up and running. Absolutely loved my install team, they truly went above and beyond. Even moving my firewood stacks for me, (as they were in the way) with a smile and without a second thought (or complaint). My install process was fabulous. My system was up and running, permits and all in a fraction of the time I was originally told it would take. In less than a month my pge is down 300+. I’m beyond satisfied with my experience with Honey’s. Every person I’ve interacted with has been professional and wonderful. Not enough good can be said about them, they’re great.

Leaving town for several weeks and my heater went out. Called Honeys and they were able to assign a tech to come to my house within hours. Anthony called and introduced himself, said he’d be there within 15 minutes and was neat and cheerful and explained everything he was doing. He was honest and gave his opinion without trying to sell me something or have me spend more than I needed to. Soon my HVAC will need to be replaced and I will not hesitate to call Anthony and Honey’s to obtain their estimate and help. I should add that Anthony was able to get my heater up and running within minutes!

.Fantastic service from start to finish. I have a 1200 sq. ft. House but it was a long job, a hard job, and they did a superb job on my new HVAC system. I was so impressed with their professionism during the installation and the finished product is perfect. They walked me through all the features when done and answered all my questions. I have asthma and as soon as the new Lennox air was switched on, my breathing eased within minutes. My system is going to keep me cozy all winter and so comfortable during the long hot summers here. Quiet and super energy efficient. I recommend Honey’s Air also for their twice yearly HVAC SERVICE, BILLED AT JUST 12.95 a month. I have been with them for years and have always been impressed. Austin, the lead tech on my installation, gave his card and told me to call anytime I have questions or an issue. Perfect, as good as it gets!

We just completed a total install of AC/​furnace AND ductless system for our home and office. Danny, George, Corey, Josh and Justin were AWESOME! Total professionals; courteous & helpful every step of the way. They did the work on schedule and super efficiently. Also made sure we understood how everything worked. I was also impressed by how conscientious they were about prepping with drop cloths and the clean up afterwards. They were just very nice guys doing a very thorough job.

Matt was our salesman. We were planning to get a new ac and furnace that we’re going to last and be super efficient but we needed a good deal. After getting quotes from about five other companies, matt was a breath of fresh air. We showed him all our quotes (yes that’s how tired of the process we were) and he told us exactly what he could do. Then he told us he could go through Costco and how that and the pg&e rebates could bring the total down making it affordable to us. He even gave us some installation tips!
Nate’s crew installed and Nate was awesome! He told us what was going on with our old one, took time to talk with us, taught us the system and was just pleasant. Such a great experience. And our system is awesome! We will only call Honeys now. For everything we can!
