In a time where big box stores and their terrible employees are«experts» tell you what you want to buy and you can never find help when you need it, it’s extremely refreshing to walk into a place like Tomos. 99% of the time the owner is there to answer your questions and help you with your saltwater fishing needs available at very competitive prices. Tomo is the big three you look for in a store; fair, honest and reliable. I highly recommend checking this place out. There’s really only 1 small downside and that’s parking but well worth it.

Tomo, is friendly, professional, and runs an extremely high end shop with top-of-the-line tackle and a meticulous and elegant store layout. Only problem is resisting the temptation to drop $ 100 on fancy lures when your initial intention was buying $ 5 of herring for the bass :-)

Tomo is dialed into the Salt Water Fishing scene and carries the most impressive collection of merchandise… Really a unique shop for pelagic fisherman, as well as those of us fishing from shore. Had to make a wish list for fear of emptying my kids 529 plan. Best part of our trip to Tomo’s was him sharing a great spot with me and my two kids! We caught a BOATLOAD of macks right where he said we would, then we moved to the island(his suggestion also) and caught a dozen fish over 35″. THANKSTOMO!!!

AWESOME is too small a word. This place is great. Amazing Art, Terrific Tackle and Tomo. I’m a kayak fisher but NOT a very good one. However, on several occassion’s Tomo has guided me and his advice has put me on fish; big fish! With Tomo I have landed some awesome fish and he has helped make me a better kayak fisher. He has advised me on soft plastics, live eels, tube and worm as well as how to catch macks with a sabiki rig(which he sells) and use those Macks to land a monster. He helped me flounder fish near Deer island and he has helped me catch Macks near Manchester. In addition to his kayak fishing prowess, he also has experience Tuna fishing and(acording to my Tuna fishing friends) he often can help them get them the best gear and advice to help them hook up with those monsters too. He always smiles, has fresh live bait, as well as the best tackle around. He special orders just about anything and he really wants to help his customers have fun on the water and get into the fish! Also, I can bring my wife(who loves art) and she looks at all the magnificient art, while I gain knowledge and tackle from Tomo. If you want to Tackle a Big Fish, you NEED to go see Tomo. In short: This place Rocks! I generally drive way out of my way to go here. Don’t go anywhere else. Tomo is the MAN!

Tomo’s Tackle is not the little bait hut with just the basics and crotchety old salt that your dad and grandpa used to go to. It’s the most modern and sleek bait and tackle shop I’ve ever been to. It’s an experience just walking in there. You are greeted by some beautifully hand-crafted fishing-related art as you walk in, courtesy of Joe who runs the Fish Prints half of the shop space. it has the feel that you are literally walking through an artists studio, as the fish prints and other works of art are casually, but not carelessly, placed to give the place some intimacy. Then you come to Tomo’s side of the shop, and everything is business. Display cases of top-of-the-line reels and gear, impeccably organized racks of tackle, a huge selection of the latest artificials… And the best part of it is Tomo really knows what he’s doing and the items for sale are not a mixed bag or a random assortment you might find at a big sporting goods store or ordered by a less experienced tackle shop owner. Tomo know what is going to catch fish, knows what the guys who catch fish consistently use as their go-to gear, and will not B.S. you with unproven gimmicks. Tomo’s a good guy with a lot of experience and know-how for a wide range of fishing types, and I really wish this shop the best. This store is devoted to the art of fish, and the art of catching fish, and is hands down the best tackle shop I’ve been to. Definitely worth a check –out.

Went to check out the place for squid jigs. Was greeted by the owner(i think it was Tomo?) Explained to me how to rig the jigs and how to fish them. Very nice store. Lots of selection. Prices are reasonable.
