SBTB is now closed and the space will soon be a Sports Authority. Will keep you posted as to when it opens.

I love this place. Too bad that they will be replaced by The Sports Authority in January.(Ugh sports replacing culture, how American!) All the books were cheapest they’ve ever been: -$ 1 paperbacks -$ 2 hardcover -$ 3 hard cover books marked over $ 30 Make sure you get here and snag some books. I did a ton of Christmas shopping here and bought myself some books all for the grand total of $ 23!

My friend and I found this temporary store while shopping at Michael’s Crafts. All the books have very discounted prices. Some books are popular series I liked when I was a young teen, so tweens and teens will have the best luck finding something they’d like or had wanted. Lots of children’s picture books and small stuffed animals too. For the adults, it’s slim pickings. Like Robin W. said, it’s more likely that you’ll stumble upon an art book you’ll love than find a book you’ve been looking for. All sales final. Roughly a $ 15 book= $ 2.50 here. Good deals. I plan on going back again.

I recently noticed this store whilst out pounding the pavement, filling out job applications. There’s a lot of empty space, like they’re not done moving in yet or something, kind of strange. But they do have a lot of cheap books, and a big bin full of Star Trek episodes on VHS, selling for a whopping .50 cents apiece.(I bought a couple; Why not, right?) Hopefully these guys can hang on for awhile. Seems maybe a good place for gift shopping in a pinch, especially since there a lot of children’s books.

This store is located within the ruins of the Linens-n-Things store that used to exist here. It has a bunch of weird overstocked books at a significant discount(90%-ish? off). I wouldn’t come here if you are looking for a specific book– this is the place you go to find that weird arty book that you never knew you wanted. They also have some videos, but they are extremely random. If you need to see the Espanol version of Britney Spears in «Crossroads» they can probably hook you up. They also have tons of Star Trek movies. I think they won’t be open too much longer(maybe through Feb of 2009?), so if you are interested in these items, get there fast!
