I took my car in for a regular oil change yesterday at 4 pm. As I waited in the waiting room I thought about the fact that my engagement ring was in a closed compartment in my car. It crossed my mind to grab it, but I decided not to because I thought I could trust the people working here. Unfortunately, I was wrong, because as soon as I got in my car I checked to see if the ring was still in it’s place. and it wasn’t. I talked with the man at the desk, the manager I believe, who didn’t seem to even care that my ring was missing. He said he looked in the tech’s box and it wasn’t there, and that was that. I didn’t feel like I was treated with respect. I called the police and filed a report, but still no ring. I’m a college student in Salem, and it wasn’t an extravagant ring, but my fiancé worked very hard to get that ring for me and is very meaningful. I just want people to be aware and think twice before taking your business here. Or if you do, be sure not to leave anything of value to you in your car while having it serviced. I also wanted to note, that my first visit here was very pleasant, I received great service and was treated with respect. I believe his name was Kyle who helped me that time. I don’t think that all workers here are untrustworthy, but it only takes one to taint a business’ reputation. This second visit was obviously quite different. Being that I recently started going to school in this area, I wanted to help this small «mom and pop» shop, but after this I will never give my business to them again, and I would recommend thinking twice before going here.
