So we came today for a birthday luncheon for my step son. 8 of us total. I have been to this Ram many times before and haven’t been there for some time so I was looking forward to it. Sadly the experience was less satisfying. Our waitress seemed a bit lost. The place wasn’t packed by any means but we saw her less often than we would have wanted to. What is inexcusable is when they finally dropped what we ordered, my order apparently wasn’t ready (or she forgot to put it in. or the cooking staff just didn’t bother making it). Which is fine mistakes happen BUT the waitress NEVER said «oh sorry sir it will be right up» NOTHING. I just sat there for 15 minutes while the rest of the table ate. Both my wife and sister-​in-​law have waited tables in the past so usually sympathize with the staff. Both of them remarked that this was horrible service. «Danny, who I’m not sure what his role is at the restaurant, finally shows up with my order. The server has just disappeared and has now been replaced by a better more efficient staff member. However, just for consistency, she forgets one of the Mud Pies ordered for desert, showing up about 15 minutes after everyone else has dessert. Finally the menu has changed to a leaner menu in terms of choices but it is a mistake. Old fav’s like the Stadium Burger have been replaced with «add this or that to your burger for a $ 1 or $ 2 choices.

About 10 beers on tap that are made in house. Wide variety of foods, priced reasonable. It been 20 years since I have been back. There staying busy to day. Oregon was admitted to the Union In 1859 this day 2−14− 1859. Roll on.

I enjoyed the lively atmosphere and extremely friendly wait staff. Best of all tho are the burgers. I got the bacon bbq burger and my friend got the hefty. My other friend enjoyed his sirloin. I especially liked the horseradish in the coleslaw and my spicy Bloody Mary. All in all, a must-​stop if you are in Salem. Ask to sit in the patio if it’s nice outside.

Love this place. Best burgers in town. Large portions and prompt, friendly service. They also have great happy hour specials on weekdays. Prices are reasonable and they have a large selection of food and drinks.

Honestly my favorite place to eat. Told them I’d give them a good review and here we are… Their armadillo eggs are amzing, fattening, but amazing. Also try the buttface burger

This place is packed with willamette students a lot. I live in Keizer so forget about it sometimes but when I remember I seem to not regret the choice. I’d consider it Good old America fare. They also have a decent selection of alcoholic beverages. Yea there’s the occasional one thing amiss but usually perfect.

Excellent beer selection here, and a great deal on growler fills as well. Their food is great as well; my personal favorite dishes are the fish and chips plate and the pickle chips. Pint Night, which is held on Thursdays, is always a fun occasion.

You can’t beat their Sunday 9 PM specials. I usually order their small appetizers or sometimes their burgers on Sunday night with big groups of friends. They have a wide selection of beer wine, and other beverages which were great complements to the meal. Additionally, the staff was also very courteous and fun to talk to, although they do take a while to get the food out, that’s for sure. The Chocolate Mud Pie with ice cream was gargantuan and they even gave me birthday candles on it and a lighter to take back to a friend for his 21^st birthday that day.

The Ram is really only good at a couple things and thats Hamburgers, sandwiches and maybe salad. Everything else is mediocre. For the first time in 10 years i dared to try the salmon. It was old, bland and hard. Dont know why I would be so silly to try something different! Stick with the burgers!
They where very accommodating to my husbands food allergy request and they have a good kids menu.

The best service I have ever had. I am a server at a restaurant and the majority of the restaurants I visit I experience some kind of flaw. They were extremely nice and welcoming since it was our first time. The burgers are great. The potato skin app are amazing too! Great food. Great service. Will be back.

I love this place. The Area Director Dean knows how to run a business. I love the Buttface Amber Beer. By far the best Amber in Oregon. Burger was excellent. Service was excellent as usual. I will definitely be back and will tell all my friends.

Full of idiots masquerading as craft beer enthusiasts. Beer is basic and uninspired. Staff is unfamiliar of their own policies regarding pets on their patio. Find some place with culture instead of fake class.

I have been here for lunch and for dinner and even late night after church with a group and this is a really cool spot and probably one of my favorites on this side of town especially. The service and the location and style are awesome as is the food. for lunch I have been seated inside and outside on the deck which is really nice on a sunny day but inside it’s nice to watch the rain also. At night time I was seated in a spacious area with connected tables with a large group of probably 20 people or more and it was just a blast. I had a good time every time I’ve been here and the service has always been great. I have tried probably half of all of the things on the menu or more and I have never had anything I didn’t like. Kind of reminds me of an elephant bar in a way.

The food is always great. I’ve yet to have a bad meal or drink at the Ram. It can get crowded but for the most part we haven’t had to wait too long for a table when our party has been normal sized. I love their specials and their drinks menu. I almost always get vampire fries or sweet potato fries.

This place is perfectly located and has a great vibe. The menu is fun and the local brews are the best part!
I ordered the blackened chicken mac and cheese and it was DELICIOUS! My husband got the Buttface cheese and bacon hamburger and I stole a couple bites. It was GREAT!
The only reason this didn’t get the full 5 star was because the apple fritter dessert came out still frozen. HOWEVER, Neal (who is an honor to have as a server), removed the charge AND gave us a chocolate chip cookie dessert.
I would definitely come back and suggest this to any one!

Great burgers!!! Love discount burger Tuesdays!!! Can be pretty crowded sometimes and the parking situation leaves a little to be desired.

food is filling and amazingly good. We passed out after dinning here because everything’s so good we just stuffed ourselves and soaked in the happiness of having a great meal after a day hike (Well, it’s a bit exaggerating but, you know).
Never thought of having eggs in burger is a good «legit» option but apparently, is it. Just good.
I recently found another Ram near my place. Will check it very often from now on!

Food and atmosphere are fantastic. I love that you can sit by the water and enjoy your friends or family. It is quiet and feels like a mini vacation. Can’t wait to go back and enjoy this place again.

They have great food. Expect to pay a lot of money. I was very disappointed with the service. It was very very very slow. I had to waive my empty cup in the air to get the attention of our waiter who could not stop chatting with colleagues.
Overall, good food. Worth it? Not really. They need to improve their service, and reduce the prices or make it more of a value and I’ll definitely be a long term customer.

I’ve been here a handful of times and have had one good experience to every 3 or 4 bad ones. Food is good, nothing great. The service is what makes this place suck. I was there a few nights ago and we stood at the door waiting while the staff stood around talking. didnt get water until about ten minutes later when they came to take our order… food comes and some other kind of sauce got mixed in with my Caesar salad which pretty much ruined it (yes, semi food snob). I would have mentioned it to the waitress but she never came back after she dropped our food off. Someone else actually had to bring the check out. Probably the last time I’ll go there. It’s too bad.. Used to really like this place.

Took my son here for his birthday lunch, fabulous mushroom burger and we loved the crab and artichoke dip. Drink prices however I find to be outrageous. Eat there, drink at home!

The RAM is a good place to go if you’re in the mood for beer and bar food. The menu us expansive, although nothing stands out that you wouldn’t find at any other bar and grill. I am not super crazy about the beer they brew either, however I don’t mind the Big Red IPA or the 71 Pale Ale. Both are tasty. They serve a true pint which is nice. The bartenders are always really nice. I prefer sitting at the bar itself and not dealing with table/​booth service which can be spotty.

Wow – what the eff happened?
I’ve visited twice in the last month and both times something tragic happened to my burger. The first time I received an extra rare burger instead of well done, and the second time I received a half-​scrambled egg instead of the over-​medium on my burger. I had to send the food back and when it returned it still wasn’t all that good. Except for the armadillo eggs (that are $ 10 for five) the food was pretty bland.
Waitstaff was its usual uncaring self.
