A whole new spin on family discrimination.
No, seriously. Seeing as I spent the first 13 years of my life living here, it pains me a bit to write this. This was home sweet home, but their current practices need to be made known. Princeton Properties will absolutely rent to families with children under 18; they have to, as it’s the law. What they won’t allow is three adults over the age of 18 in one unit, even a two-​bedroom. I understand not wanting too many roommates, but this includes families. So the lovely couple with an elderly parent who lives with them, or a college-​age «child»? Sorry, can’t live here. I questioned the policy on the grounds that it can’t possibly be equally enforced. What about the families with young/​teen children already living here? What happens when they turn 18? According to the management office, «we won’t renew their lease.»
No, seriously. There’s no way. They claim this has «always been our policy», but it certainly wasn’t when my family lived there. On our floor alone, three couples with adult children living at home. How could they even keep track of everyone? I called BS, I called lawyers, I googled everything I could think of.
And they actually do it. One local attorney had an especially eye-​opening story of a family who had lived in their apartment for 18 years. Daughter turned 18, no more lease. They sought help, apparently others have as well, to no avail. Family discrimination laws apply to children under the age of 18.
What kills me is that most families with kids aren’t going to move in knowing that this is the policy. You might intend to rent for a year or two while house hunting, but you just never know what life will bring. Your teenager who can’t wait to move out just might find themselves needing to live at home while attending Salem State. That can’t happen here, and that means that families won’t move here. Which means that they *are* very much discriminating against families, regardless of the creative manner in which they’re doing it. Rents are high, houses are crazy expensive, and Princeton Crossing is making it that much harder for decent people to find a decent place to live.
This management company is scum, but you’re better than that. So don’t move here.

Halfway through our lease and the property has been ok! The snow removal isn’t great, my neighbors let their kids play in the hallway and my friends get towed all time for parking in the front. I referred a friend who moved in and have yet to receive the promised bonus for doing so. Same goes with the 100 certificate for finding them on
. When asked, the super nice, smart and efficient leasing agents get a bit dodgy. Maybe i should just push it a little harder. I’ll give them a four for now but will reedit this when i move out.

Hopefully I am not too premature on this one, but we moved in this past weekend and LOVE it! The grounds are well kept, the buildings are quiet. There is plenty of parking, the buildings are accessible and the hospital is right across the street. The staff was friendly and flexible and our apartment is AWESOME! 900 square feet of very well kept carpets and wonderfully painted walls… and they aren’t all painted WHITE yay for fun, neutral color! We are very happy and would recommend this to ANYONE
