Michel’s Spinal Rehab & Assoc

My mom has gone here for 15+ years, and has always raved about how amazing Dr. Michels is. She has referred a ton of people here. I have been a few times myself, several years ago, and had a great experience as well.
Today – the day after the July 4^th holiday, and a Friday, when they are only open 9am-​12pm – I called in desperation as soon as they opened to try and get my husband in. Hubs has had a laundry list of back issues that I won’t go into here (summary: bulging and broken discs, surgery on c5/​c6, chronic debilitating pain) and Dr. Michels still squeezed him in, and understood Hub’s pain and it’s sources better than any of the (count ‘em) SEVEN specialists (ranging from naturopath to neurosurgeon) that we’ve seen yet. Dr. Michel’s was literally finishing Hub’s sentences, and pointing to pressure points and the pathway in which the pain was flowing (following nerves) before my husband had even said a thing about pain in those areas.
This guy knows his stuff, and provides a very balanced point of view – which is: medicine and surgery have their place, as do «alternative therapies» like chiropractic, acupuncture, massage, etc. But there is no judgment for having turned to medicine, nor a tone of «my way or the highway» which so many doctors and naturopaths impart.
