History

Established in 1992.

Dr. Austin is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He began his career in 1992 at Skagit Valley

Medical Center in Mount Vernon, Washington, and soon opened his own private practice in plastic and

reconstructive surgery in Salem, Oregon. He has maintained his private practice in Salem since 1996. His high quality of care includes a calming bedside manner, excellent rapport with patients, nursing staff, and fellow

medical staff, and includes an unparalleled reputation throughout the local and regional community. Dr. Austin has patients from all over the Northwest area, including Washington, Idaho, California and more.

Originally from California, Dr. Edwin N. Austin graduated from Stanford University, receiving a B.S. with Distinction in Biological Sciences. He was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa honor society, and a recipient of the prestigious American Heart Association Student Research Fellowship. Dr. Austin then completed his medical degree at the UCLA School of Medicine in Los Angeles, where he was an Alpha Omega Alpha member and recipient of the Gladys M. Shea Prize in Anatomical Sciences.
