This is a great place. The owner is ex-Coast Guard, and can be a little gruff at times. Probably best to keep all interactions with him brief, respectful, and leave the jokes outside. He will go to great lengths to make sure you understand his rules, and he will watch you on the surveillance camera to ensure that you don’t break or ignore them. There’s a shop upstairs, with a small selection of firearms-related items and a much bigger selection of fishing gear. The shooting range facilities are downstairs, and very nice. My only(very minor) complaint was the old-school hand crank style of target movement controls. However, they are extremely well maintained and very easy to operate. Each lane has its own workstation area with plenty of counter space. I believe the rates are $ 18 per hour, if you are not a member. You may want to call ahead to make sure the range is available, and that they are not teaching a class at the time you want to shoot. In the interest of full disclosure, the owner appears to have a storied history with the ATF: see: and page 27 of this document:
