Derek’s Custom Computers

I would not be able to give this business any stars and if there were minus stars I would give it as many as possible. I strongly urge you run in the opposite direction of this business. I hired DCC Custom Computers to build a custom computer and a custom laptop. I gave specific instructions to Derek, the owner, on the desk top as to what parts should be used and when I needed it. As for the laptop, I instructed him as to how the laptop would be used, that it needed antivirus software and it should be built to last about 5 years. I wanted a laptop that had very good graphics and a sound card in it with a lot of ram. I also specified that I needed both be delivered on a specific date as they were both gifts.
After many many excuses and many stories that proved to be made up, a $ 300 laptop that I could have purchased from Best Buy, with no antivirus software was delivered several months AFTER the promised date. I was unaware of what was delivered until problems started occurring with the laptop.
Several more months passed and no desktop was provided. When I cancelled the order and requested my money back I started hearing another round of sob stories. At this point paperwork is being filed in small claims court to recover $ 3200.00 that was paid to This company for which nothing was received and refunds were not issued. I generously paid him $ 400 for the laptop that was NOT what I ordered.
This business proves let the buyer beware. Unfortunately, I was not.
