Established in 2011.

Tru_​Essence was founded by Rosalyn McCallister, a carrier of Sickle Cell Disease, who is no stranger to hard times. Realizing that she wanted to help give back to her community after her community helped her during a very strenuous time in her life. Finding a way to combine her passion for helping others succeed and hosting parties events, Rosalyn dedicated herself to becoming a special events planner. Hosting several events that include fashion shows, art shows, and hair shows in order to help raise funds for causes and charities.

In addition, Tru_​Essence encourages new and small business recognition when networking and hosting special events. Tru_​Essence has raised funds for Sickle Cell Foundation St. Petersburg, FL Chapter, CASA and the Salvation Army.

Rosalyn McCallister life has always been dedicated to helping others. Knowing how difficult it can be to get started in the business world, she provides an outlet for those just as determined and dedicated as she.

A mother of two and carrier of Sickle Cell Anemia, she has had more than her share of trials and tribulations. However, with every trial is a determination to do and give just a bit more with faith.
