The Eye Center has been a leading innovator in the treatment of eye diseases and cataract surgery for over twenty-​five years. Dr. Goltschman, along with Dr. Marvin Koenig, opened the first freestanding outpatient surgery center in the St. Louis area designed specifically for the treatment of eye conditions.

Business Owner

Dr. John P. Goltschman has been a practicing eye surgeon in St. Louis for over twenty-​five years. He is board certified and has performed thousands of cataract surgeries since beginning his practice in 1977. Dr. Goltschman performs «no stitch, no patch» cataract surgical procedures. With use of the latest technology, the surgery requires only a small, self-​closing incision with no stitches. Most patients can resume their normal routine the day after surgery.

He, along with Dr. Marvin Koenig, opened The Cataract Surgery Center in 1983 in Florissant, MO. This facility was the first freestanding outpatient surgery center in the St. Louis area designed specifically for surgery of the eye. As president of The Eye Center, Dr. Goltschman has implemented his practice philosophy of utilizing the latest technology to better treat patients. At The Eye Center he services patients in St. Louis as well as the surrounding metropolitan area.
