Not bad! Chicken was very tasty and the beef was tender! I liked that they have a variety of bbq sauces to choose from. The staff was very friendly as well!

I have been to this Bandana’s a couple time and food is really good and at a reasonable price especially compared to other BBQ places. I am a fan of the turkey, it is pretty tasty. They have a good variety of sauces to choose from. The services is nice and friendly. The décor is not the greatest. It is dated and could definitely use an update otherwise I would have given them 5 stars.

We ate at the St. Ann’s location headed west and stopped at this location when coming back east. The food was great as expected! We knew the lunch portion was going to be too much food, so this time we had the budget lunch. My husband chose the beef with 2 pieces of fried corn. I had the pork with fried corn and a side salad. When traveling through St. Louis, we plan to make this a regular stop!

Bandana’s is a chain in the St. Louis area. Barbeque. OK, St. Louis and barbeque. Should be a good combination. Maybe at another restaurant!!! Ordered ribs. First thing I noticed was the ribs were all perfectly cut between each bone. Hum. Could it be they were machine cut in a factory and then cooked? Likely! Next up was the lack of a smoke«ring» which would tell me they were really«que’ed» and not precooked and thrown in an oven. Next was the surprising lack of smokey flavor. OK, so what we have here are pre-cooked and mass produced barbequed ribs quickly put on a smoker and finished in an oven. They had plenty of meat but it was tough because they weren’t cooked long enough. The sauces were just OK but nothing to make me want to purchase a bottle. I know my friends from St. Louis will disagree when I say there’s a surprisingly huge lack of decent dining in the area and Bandana’s does nothing to cause me to rethink this statement. Skip it and try another place, any place!!!

As cheap BBQ goes, this place is hard to beat. They finally added fried okra to round out a great list of American favorites(especially if you are from the south).

Not impressed with BBQ. Have been there several times and seems below below standards from other BBQ places in the area. More hype than taste. Run away to other place as fast as you can.

During a homemade BBQ for my friend’s pregnancy, talk naturally turned to the best places in St. Louis for BBQ and wings. Many of the people there raved about Bandanas. The very next day, I found myself in this shamelessly decorated restaurant. There are chaps hanging on the walls and red and blue bandanas dangling from the windows. I found myself watching my back just waiting for some gang members to walk in, shoot up the place, and take down the rival bandanas. Anyway, onto the food. I was told it was a joint full of smoked meats. As I walked in passed the tables I saw the ribs and so my mind was made up before my tush hit the seat. They have a nice lunch special. You get your choice of meat(ribs, chicken, pork), two small sides, and 2 slices of garlic bread for around $ 7. Not bad! Everything was great. I loved the BBQ beans, green beans, and the greasy garlic toast too. The ribs were tasty, but had a huge chunk of fat across them which I find very unappealing. After a little dissecting though, no problem! Now here is the part that I dig…4 different sauces! Full bottles for the squeezin’ right at your very own table. Delightful! I didn’t soon forget Bandanas as I was burping«smoked flavor» for 10 straight hours! Ew.
