This location is not a retail location, but rather a location for pickup of appliances and appliance parts ordered through any of Warners’ Stellian’s Minnesota appliance stores.

History

Established in 1954.

In 1954, Jim Warner took a sales job at Stellian’s appliance store on Snelling Avenue in St. Paul, Minnesota, owned by Steve and Lillian Farkas (Stellian is the combination of their first names).

After many years as a valued employee, Jim bought the business and added his name to theirs. He established a solid foundation for success by offering the best products available and making sure every customer received exceptional service from sale to delivery.

Those values were passed on to his children and today the company is still owned by all nine of his children and actively operated by four members of the Warner family.

Warners’ Stellian has been family owned for over 60 years. Today, the company is owned by all nine of founder Jim Warner’s nine children, who share his passion for great service at an affordable price. Warners’ Stellian is actively operated by four of Jim’s children: Bill Warner, Jeff Warner, Carla Warner and Robert Warner (pictured left to right).

I have purchased many of my appliances from Warner. Unfortunately my most recent experience with their customer service has been the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I am heading on 10 days without a working clothes dryer. They don’t return our calls when they say they will. We have asked to speak to a manger on two different occasions and still have not been able to speak with a manager. When I called back, I was told there is no record my husband asked to speak to a manger on his previous call to them earlier in the day. I am fairly confident my husband did not make that up. They are working with the warranty company is all we hear. I am beginning to wonder if I will ever have a working dryer again.

This review is not for the specific store, but for Warners’ Stellian’s warranty repair coverage (I put the review here since it has the phone number that I was directed to call). We bought our LG refrigerator-​freezer from WS 6 years ago and it was a fine experience. 3– ½ weeks ago, the appliance stopped working. 3 weeks ago, a repair person stopped by the house and diagnosed the issue as a failed compressor. Fortunately, the part is still covered by the 7-​year warranty. He said that the part would be ordered and that we could expect to wait about a week to 10 days for it. It has now been 3 weeks, and we are getting no updates from them. We have been asked to PREPAY $ 275 for the labor, in addition to the $ 90 or so for the initial diagnosis. So: Our family continues to live without a refrigerator, we are out $ 365 or so, and we have no idea when we’ll have the appliance fixed. This is customer disservice, we feel, and we are getting more bitter by the day. I am regretting that we called Warners’ Stellian for the repair work and cannot recommend them for that aspect of the business.

We purchased an electric LG double oven range 9 months ago. It is a very nice stove/​oven, however, it quit working four days ago. I have been trying to get a hold of Warners Stellian customer service department to get a repair scheduled. I keep getting the «all of our reps are busy message», after about the fifth call I did get a real person… they gave me the phone numbers of 2 repair services to contact. I called each repair service and was informed by each that they do not do LG warranty work. I will keep tryng customer service… I’m retired so I have time, however it is getting kind of pricy eating out every day… I did call the store we bought it from… they said there was nothing they can do to help. They said to call customer service. What I have found is you can easily get a hold of a sales person… however, getting a hold of customer servicefor product support is next to impossible.

Very disappointed with Warner Stellian’s service. We have purchase all of our home appliances from WS. After 10 years we just replaced our dishwasher with a new one from WS.
My problem is with the time is has taken to repair our relatively new dryer. it took nearly a week to get a repairman out to our house. Once he got their he could not diagnose the problem. He called the manufacturer and they diagnosed I needed a new control board. I could have called the manufacturer and saved a week and the $ 99.88 fee for diagnosis. The repairman indicated that someone would call me with a price to repair. No one called so I called in and was told a price and asked for my credit card number. it turns out it will take 10 days to deliver the part. Once it comes in I can schedule the actual repair.
No one told me that I should plan on being without an appliance for up to three weeks when I bought it. I called WS this morning and offered to pay for expedited shipping. I was told that was not an option. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told one would call me back. No one did that.
In summary I am frustrated I was sold a product that takes three weeks to repair and that a supervisor did not think they needed to call me back to discuss possible options. Will be hard to purchase from these folks again.

Great family owned store! They price match plus the sales people actually know their product unlike BestBuy. Pet-​Peeve is when the salesman reads the label when I ask a question. Duh… I could have read the same label (obviously, I am speaking about Bestbuy). Warner’s Stellian is like the Ultimate Electronics of appliances
Anyway, I bought a few washers and drys plus refrigerators that were shipped to Las Vegas at no cost! Love the store and customer service; plus I would rather support small business.

Be careful with their pricey warranty offers. You buy it direct from them but when you call for service they tell you they’ll have to call you back after they check with the «warranty company .» They call back and if you miss it (i did) and a get a 15 minute queue on the call back. Then you start all over again.
When you do get to a scheduler, they are a week plus out to get a firm time window (whole day is the window.)
So in addition to the warranty $, and scheduling debacle we have no dryer for at least a week (so far 3 weeks.)
Now I need to get a roll of quarters.
Then they do come and have to order parts…2 week wait… need to schedule another appointment (whole day block) thru their slow dispatch/​scheduling call center…
I think I would have been better off taking my chances W/​O the service agreement and paid for independent (and responsive)
repairman.

Please think twice about purchasing anything from them. I did — a large amount — they are happy to sell, but when it comes to repair GOOD LUCK. The absolute worse company I have ever dealt with. It has now been 3 months to try to get them to repair an ice maker on a 2 year old Viking Refrigerator ($ 7000.00 unit) They did come out to look at it — that only took 3 phones calls to get them there. Not only could they not fix it — had to order parts — but broke another part on the ice machine. Repair person admitted it, but with the contact, untruths in the past I am sure that they will deny it — The Warner WAY … TAKE ALL THE MONEY YOU CAN GET FROM A CUSTOMER… AND THEN JUST SCREW WITH?

«Extreme! Warehouse Sale» — All the signage was like that. It was amazing.
My mom and I were running errands on Saturday. She’s remodeling her kitchen so we popped in to the Warners’ Stellian warehouse sale to see if she could find one of those drawer microwaves at an Extreme!-ly low price.
The staff were helpful in letting us know that they had but one drawer microwave. Moving on, we looked a little more thoroughly at the stoves and then the laundry machines. You know, potential replacements for the ones I use when I don’t feel like getting ripped off for laundry at my apartment. (Yes, I still do that. NO SHAME.)
I don’t know a whole lot about appliances being a renter, but my mom remarked that the prices were about the same as the typical prices at Sears for similar merchandise. So it wasn’t the most Extreme! sale I’ve ever been to, I guess.

Minutes after I posted this review (MINUTES, I tell you), the super-​friendly Julie W. from Warners’ responded via Unilocal Biz message. It seems that customer service is a high priority and I feel like that definitely deserves an extra star.

In an increasingly-​cynical world, it was refreshing to be in touch with someone who seemed genuinely concerned about my experience — thanks, Julie!
