I’m genuinely really surprised that I’m the first person reviewing this Walgreens location. Why? Well, of all the chain drug stores that have spread far and wide across the great concrete sprawl of Minneapolis and St. Paul(or at least that I’ve been to), THIS Walgreens is by far the one chain drug store to rule them all. Why? 1. Ridiculously friendly people work there. I mean, EVERYONE I have ever talked to, or received a passing friendly, «have a nice day!» from, has just been genuinely warm and pleasant — that includes the front-desk, cosmetics, people in the isles, and everyone in the pharmacy. 2. Speaking of the pharmacy, holy customer service! I am literally the Boy in the Bubble(sans John Travolta, wood paneling, and flare jeans) — I’m basically having to stop by Walgreens what feels like once every other week to pick up another prescription, so I interact with the pharmacy quite a bit. NOTONCE in the two years I’ve been getting my refills and whatnot have I ever had anything close to a negative experience. Even if they’re swamped/getting slammed with a billion orders, demands, and impatient customers, they maintain an awe-inspiring level of cool and again, genuine friendliness. 3. Well stocked and maintained store. Flu season, allergy season, H1N2: Resurrected, whatever it is, no outbreak or plague can keep this store from getting you the box of aloe Kleenex, generic meds, or hot water bottles you crave and need. I’ve never had the problem of what I’m looking for being out of stock. Yeah sure, it’s a Walgreens, corporate American blah blah; but when I feel like walking death, I’m really grateful to have this one close by.
