Ulta Salon Cosmetics & Fragrance

Today I had my second haircut with Lori at the Richfield Ulta Salon! She is awesome!!! Lori has many years of experience, which will reflect in the awesome cut you will receive! She also is very much an advocate for healthy hair! Lori does an excellent job with explaining specific product need for your hair! She knows all the brands and does not just suggest from one line. She only suggests what brand/​product is best for YOUR hair! Remember, LORI at Richfield Ulta!

Come here regularly for hair products and make up. They carry my favorite lines, Kendra, Paul Mitchell, Smashbox and Clairins. Have a wide variety of OPI polish. The main reason I gave them 3 stars is their lack of customer service and their scam of giving you a «free» copy of a magazine. What they don’t tell you is you will be charged an annual subscription if you say yes! Fell for that once. As long as I don’t need any help, I’m good to go. They don’t carry MAC. Which is the only eye make up I’ll wear. LOVE IT.

Alright, I’ve been a member of the Ulta Club for what seems like a million years. They have great coupons and buy one get on 50% off bargains on non-​department store or high end makeup, but what I need never seems to be in stock.
I used to visit the Roseville location before I moved and it was down the street. Now I know why I don’t go to Roseville.
Not only are the aisle cramped and dark, it smells like 15 different kinds of perfume have been sprayed in the air.
I was there in October looking for nail polish and make up. They had neither.
I got a new catalog recently and stopped in this week. I wanted nail polish, mascara, foundation, and powder. Everything was on sale, 2 of the items were not in stock AGAIN.
I get irritated at the cashiers because they ask if you found everything okay, but are not concerned enough to look for what I couldn’t find. Also, if I want In Style magazine, I’ll subscribe on my own, not at your store.
This will be my last trip to the Roseville location. I will continue to shop at the Woodbury store for deals, if they have what I need.

Looking for that old fashioned hair net? the sponge rollers? that special cream your mom swears by? Ulta may be the place for you.
I just don’t understand this place. If I want top-​of-​the-​line cosmetics, Sephora has way more selection and is way more fun to browse, plus it doesn’t feel like you’ll run into Grandma at any moment.
If I want bargain hair products, Target’s the place, and any regular salon for higher end hair care (today’s trip was for a shampoo listed in Real Simple for $ 15. Ulta’s price: $ 17).
For a haircut, I’d just feel more comfortable at a place that specializes in hairstyling, not a place with 3 chairs tucked in back next to the Jessica Simpson hair extensions ($ 99).
I guess their prices explain how they manage their massive square footage, except I still don’t understand who shops here… other than Grandma.

Got a decent haircut for a reasonable price. The stylists are really nice, but I usually their other staff isn’t very personable. However, prices on makeup and hair products are decent, and there are usually coupons floating around. Overall, I would say the shopping experience is not up to par with Sephora.

You can get your hair cut and stock up on all sorts of goodies. Reasonably priced haircuts by great stylists. Ask for Leah!!!
Oh yeah, and the head massages are amazing. I wish I could get my haircut everyday just so I could get a massage. Aghhh… soo relaxing.
