Ties-Technology and Information Education

I dunno what’s cooler here.
Could it be the art deco architecture that is a hidden gem?
Is it the forward thinking educational computer classes?
Proximity to Dino’s?
It’s a fantastic place for learning.
I used to go here for The Minnesota Association of Secondary School Principals meetings, which is State Student Council when I was in high school. It was a place of curriculum, higher level learning and where intelligent teachers went to be with contemporaries.
Now, I have board meetings there and it’s still a wonderful place.
The Source Comics and Games used to be across the street and IT directors could fulfill both personal and professional talents in one excursion.
Perhaps that sums up TIES.
It used to be very relevant.
It still is.
But with tablets becoming the norm, it’s a step behind but it’ll be damned to be behind.
I like TIES. It’s a needed place but it feels like it should be part of the University of Minnesota.
