Best Thai food in St. Paul ever, would recommend this place to anyone who loves Thai cuisine. Their spring rolls are good, just ask for no pork and hot sauce. The food and décor is up to date to current times.

This was our first visit… and wow! We had the Duck Curry, catfish with ginger sauce and Holy Basil. So fresh with great depth of flavors. We will definitely be back as it has become a favorite. Go early though because they ran out of coconut ice cream and walleye.

This is the best Thai food I’ve ever had, we came in super late night and ate pad Thai, egg rolls, and the black pepper stir fry. Great spice, presentation and flavor. The chile sauce packs some great heat! Will definitely be back!

Fabulous food. The appetizer puff tofu was out of this world. The spring rolls were about the best I’ve ever had. The place is bright, clean and has great service. I will definitely return when I’m in St. Paul.

I love Thai cuisine, and have experienced the most bland to the most authentic you can get. Supatra’s is one of my all-time favorites, in terms of quality, taste, and service. It is top in the region, and is tucked into a great active neighborhood space.

Very very good — wonderful flavors, service is friendly and yet efficient for how busy they were. And a clean well decorated place! That does not always happen. I’d give a 5 but my boyfriend did not like his stir fry as much as I liked my Green Curry. Spring rolls were fresh and well wrapped, nice presentation without an upscale price. Beer and wine Happy Hour specials.

I love this place! The menu can be overwhelming because it is pretty large, but the food I’ve gotten has been amazing. If you’re looking for an Asian place that has many Gluten Free options, give this one a shot. They have so many options. That’s one of the reasons I love this place so much! Dishes to try: Broccoli Fried Rice, Pad Thai, Red Curry, Thai Fried Rice, Pad Sew Ew, Spring Rolls… I guess I usually just get the same items… I feel like this place can’t go wrong though. One of my favorite spots to get Pad Thai. Service is fast and friendly.

We’ve been eating at Supatra’s for a couple of years now. Given the growing number of good Thai venues in the area; this is still, by far, our first choice. The staff is charming, courteous, and very customer focused. Any time we’ve had even the slightest issue with our order, it has been resolved quickly and professionally. The menu is full of mouth-watering choices and we frequently struggle with narrowing our options down to something that will fit our appetites(and wallet). The Peanut Curry Stir-fry(Pra Rahm Long Song), Fresh Spring Rolls, and Crab Fried Rice are my some of my personal favorites; but with so many great options to choose from, we often just order a number of entries and then share them family-style. The wait times can be a bit long at times, so plan accordingly for prime dine-in and take-out times.

I think I’ve tried 90% of the Thai restaurants in the Twin Cities, and Supatra’s is by far my favorite. My husband gets the Pad Kee Mao(drunken noodles) every. single. time. I’ve tried about half the menu, and my favorites are the Pad See Yew, the Crying Tiger and the Tom Yum soup. If you want a delicious, non-alcoholic drink, try the Thai limeade. It’s so refreshing and we’ve tried to replicate it at home without success. We always have great service — although we go there so often the owner knows us now!

Standard Thai cuisine and decent décor and serve earn this place a three star. I had high expectations for the place after reading the website. Considering the chef is an author of a Thai cookbook and they name dropped Thai celebrities(I don’t know who they were honestly) I expected a lot from the place. We ordered Vegetable rolls and soup for appetizers. The rolls were crispy and on point but the soup was a disaster. We played a game of «name that ingredient» because the stuff in it did not look like food. For my entrée I ordered the«crying tiger» because the chef named her book after it. Well, I was left in tears because it had no flavor and apart from hunger, work time constrains and a desire not to complain, I had nothing else going for me to finish the dish.

I’m giving Supatra’s 5 stars for one reason alone: The Thai Salmon Steak. It’s a piece of oven baked salmon served with a red curry sauce that absolutely blew me away. So tender, so flaky, and with so much flavor. My favorite salmon dish anywhere, and I’m usually not even a fan of salmon. The rest of the menu is extremely authentic. The Pad Thai is less of the Americanized saucy version and more like what you will find on the street’s of Thailand. Service is always good, and the location is a fun little slice of West 7th.
Stopped here on my way to the airport for a quick bite. At Thai places, I always order the same thing, and I tend to be really picky. The red curry with beef was delicious! The medium was spicy enough to clear the sinuses, the service was very fast and polite. Definitely a five-star experience and I’ll be back when I’m back in town.

Would like to go back here but probably won’t. Came here recently and one of my party got some really bad food poisoning from some bad curry. I was passed over by the«plague» and didn’t experience any illness from my order but felt as though Supatra’s tries to put on a show of being much fancier than it is. The serving sizes are not that great for the price point and little things like water damage on the ceiling, cramped dining room and poorly trained servers all pointed to something being missing here. Maybe if I am feeling brave I will play Supatra’s roulette sometime in the future but might skip the curry if it is risky.

If you look at my credit card bill(please do not) you will see that my wife and I eat Supatra’s almost every single Friday. Why? The spicy noodle with pork is that good(I get it 3 out of 4 on the spicy scale). My wife alternates between pad thai and other dishes. There is always a line out the door(on Friday night) but I never wait more than a couple of minutes. The staff is whip smart, whip fast and the place is my favorite Thai in town(and if you know anything about Saint Paul, that is high praise). Just writing this was a bad idea… Now I am salivating thinking about those spicy noodles…

This place is an adorable little gem in St. Paul. I came here around 7pm on a Monday night and it was not packed(there was no wait) but it was quite full. I loved the pleasing décor, the atmosphere and the wonderful service. Coconut Noodles with chicken. I got my inspiration from Samuel W and John O. Well done guys! You couldn’t have recommended a better dish. Seriously delicious — that creamy, peanut sauce. Those yummy noodles, that chicken. The spice level it comes with is absolutely perfect. I also got their Appetizer Combo plate, it was the best way to try a little bit of everything. My favorite was the egg roll. I delighted in the selection of sauces that arrive with the appetizers. For drinks, I got the Thai iced tea — some of the best I’ve had. I’ve had some that is far too sweet and hard to enjoy. Theirs is the perfect balance of tea and condensed milk. My goal is to try as many Thai restaurants as my appetite and wallet can possibly handle. So far my quest is going well! Parking– it appears to be quite a bit of a bother. If you can find street parking, you’re in for a treat at this amazing restaurant. Otherwise, there is an extremely tiny parking spot next to the building for takeaway. Supatra’s is a bit out of the way for me, but after reading the reviews it was totally worth the drive from the Northeast metro! Highly recommended.

I had driven by this place many many times, and always wondered what it was like. Finally decided to give it a try, and found out it is a great find. Best Thai food I’ve had in the twin cities. It’s a small place, and we waited an hour for a table of 6(recommend smaller groups), but it was so worth it. Plan on going back again and again.

I have almost 50 check ins at this restaurant. More if you include the many times I forgot to check in due to conversation. In all the times I’ve eaten here the owners have not once greeted me, thanked me, or come to my table. Not once. Yet I still come due to the food. I highly recommend the Goy See Me!(I hope I have correct spelling)

Never disappoints! This is amazing, authentic Thai cuisine at its best. My boyfriend and I are thankful to live right up the street from this fabulous eatery and venture here at least once it twice a week. He normally gets the Chicken Pad Thai with level 3 spice. The heat can be hot, so welcome spicy food fanatics!

What can I say other than a really wonderful experience from beginning to end. They have a large menu of all sort so deliciousness. Tonight I had the Goy See May. So many different different textures and the spice level was just perfect. The food was very fresh. My guest and I also got the vegetable spring rolls. Our waitress told us «they are the best around» and I would have to agree. There was also a WONDERFUL peanut dipping sauce. I could drink a vat of that stuff. So yummy. The service was nice. My guest and I were quite chatty and didn’t pull it together to order immediately. She was very patient. There is staff floating around to clear the tables quickly and offer refills on sodas and water. We sat in the patio area. It was very nice. There were bees around which freaks me out but that is just part of being outside! The interior was very quaint and warm. I will certainly be going back at some point in the near future. The prices are extremely reasonable(1 soda, 1 appetizer, 2 large entrees with plenty for 2 meals ~ 29.00). I also noted that they have Thai cooking classes. That looks like a ton of fun and might pursue that adventure down the line!

Supatra is my favorite Thai restaurant in the Twin Cities. Their food is always consistent, and their service is great. I have never had a bad dish at Supatra, and can honestly say I don’t think you can go wrong with anything you order! I love getting their appetizer platter because I get to have my wontons and spring rolls! I love their country style curry, and the crying tiger is to die for! If you happen to go during nice weather be sure to ask to be seated on their patio if it’s open. It’s a cute small patio filled with flowers. I’ll always be a Supatra customer!

One of our favorite Thai spots in the metro. Super friendly staff and wonderful food in the heart of West 7th, great neighborhood in St. Paul. We love the curries, the chicken laab, the spring rolls, and the pra ram long song especially. We love the little patio area/outdoor seating too. We have been coming here for years and will be customers as long as Supatra’s is in business!

Best little secret in town. Very good food at a very reasonable price. The food is very authentic and the server is very helpful if you find it hard to decide. They allow you to choose how hot and spicy you want your food and they are great at paring up beverages with the meal. The two of us shared an appetizer, each had a meal, each had a beverage and after the meal we shared a desert. The bill and tip was well under $ 50. The quality of the food was fresh and hot. I will definitely patronize this place again and again.

I have been on this Thai Food kick lately. I don’t know what it is but I just can not seem to get enough of it! I took my Friend Teri W here for her birthday and it was amazing! I was a little hesitant because the parking situation is pretty bleak but it worked out. I also made reservations which I highly recommend if you do not want to wait. I was patting myself on the back when I walked in, saw the huge line of people, walked to the hostess and was immediately seated at my reserved table! Five stars for me! Appetizers– Coconut Shrimp-It was good but nothing I would order again. Spring Rolls-Delish! Wonderful dipping sauce and beautiful presentation. Entrees– Coconut Noodles with Chicken-Damn this was good!!! I ate all of it and seriously wanted to lick my bowl! I am certain I will order this next time. Some Stir Fry-I wasn’t paying that close attention to what Teri ordered because I am just selfish like that but she really liked it. She said it was not hot enough and would order medium next time though. Desserts– Banana Spring Rolls with Ice Cream-Yummy Dessert but not as good as PF Changs. I am not a huge fan of Changs but I do love their Banana Spring Rolls with Pineapple ice cream. No complaints here though. We sure ate it all! Service was top notch from the moment we entered to the moment we left. Our server answered all of our questions and the Hostess and I believe Owner thanked us a few times for coming. It was just a perfect night out! Spice Level Tips-I ordered Medium here and it was perfect for me. I usually order Mild Medium at On’s which I think is hotter than Supatra. My friend ordered mild and it was not spicy at all…

I love my friends and I put my heart in their hands… i.e. I trust their restaurant recommendations. Sam and Jenny have been busting nuts over Supatra for some time now, so I decided to do the same. JK, I’m allergic to nuts haaaaaaaaa Highlights: — Bright space with some cool pieces of art, like a gold headpiece that I knew I’d look great in. — Attentive service — Tom yum soup!!! Tangy and packed with lemon grass. It was actually more lemon grass’y than my «Noodles with Lemon Grass» — Green curry: This is my favorite dish… coconutty and spicy. I’d sip it from a mug at home, or at the office, maybe in a porta potty, getting slapped repeatedly in the face with an old tuna and not even caring. — Spring rolls: I don’t even know why these are so different but just keep them coming and no one gets hurt. I think it was something with their marinated/seasoned vermicelli. — Hor Moke: Such a good value for the amount of shrimp and scallops you get! My one complaint was with the tofu. We got the tofu puffs which were crispy, but void of flavor. I ate them up though, since I was pretty hungry and deep fried things trick my brain. And I got tofu as my «protein» in my noodles, and I was surprised to find them not coated with sauce; they were just plain and flavorless on top of my dish :(. Oh but mmmm, green curry :).

Quick and good! Popped in here one night for quick dinner and it was great. Busy during the week, but service was still good. I started out with the Sarong, which is a deep fried noodle delight with chicken and pork inside. It is actually big enough for a whole meal for me, but that doesn’t mean I didn’t get more to eat. Even though it was deep fried noodles, it still didn’t seem to heavy for greasy, just delicious. My husband had the egg rolls which he enjoyed. I had the Holy Basil Supreme with pork. It was good — filled with nice pieces of pork and a good size serving of veggies, could have used more Thai Basil. I always want more Thai Basil in my food, so that isn’t specific to just this place. I’m not much for anything too spicy, and I don’t remember how spicy I got it, but probably something low — like a 2 and it worked well for me. Husband had a green coconut curry chicken, which he liked. Price level was decent at around $ 30 for everything, so if you’re looking for Thai, check it out.

Came here again with friends. The coconut noodles and pad thai were bomb. Coconut noodles is like rice noodles basking in a coconut curry stew. It’s a bit sweet and tangy, and you can request it to be spicier. PLEASE try the shrimp spring rolls. They taste very different. The sauce is sweet with a nice crunch from the peanuts. Only caveat is that they are a bit pricey for two rolls($ 5.50). Ours also had less shrimp than other places; however, it was still delicious. Will be back… again.

Our dining experience here was good from time I parallel parked like a ninja right in front(Seriously, it was amazing) to the moment we climbed our food sedated overfed gluttonous butts into the car. It is taking everything in me to write this and not nap but I want to get this out while the flavors are still at the forefront of my mind. I’m going to go ahead and get this out of the way — The service is top notch. I’m sending Christmas cards. We started with the coconut shrimp. They were fat little buggers and cooked perfectly. The breading on it was tasty but way too thick for my tastes and there was almost no coconut or coconut flavor. It was kind of like eating a corn dog shrimp. I had the Coconut Noodles– Rice noodles with a coconut peanut sauce. This is the second time I’ve come here and the second time I’ve ordered this dish because it’s that crazy delicious. The first time I ordered it with medium spice. I suffered through sweat and tears and a little nasal drip to eat it. Medium is crazy hot and I. Well. I’m a ‘lil bitch and can’t take the heat. I ordered mild this time and it was perfect. Same great flavor as last time and it had a kick but I wasn’t dying for a glass of milk between bites like with the medium. The noodles were plentiful and the sauce was packed with rich peanut flavor. As much as I don’t want to say it, I have a couple itty bitty teeny tiny unimportant and overlook-able problems with the Coconut noodles. The first is that there is a LOT of sauce. Delicious as it may be, there’s just too much. BUTWHOCARES, RIGHT? My other issue is with the tofu and it’s not really THEIR issue, it’s my issue. It might be a little too soggy for my tastes. BUTTHAT’S OKAY! It still has good flavor. Sam ordered the Khao Soy noodles. I was very skeptical of this dish when I read the description(Egg noodles, yellow curry sauce –That’s about all it said) It came out looking like an abstract take on a birds nest with a big wad of fried egg noodle lying delicately across the dish. Garnish gone awry, I think. The sauce on the noodles was outstanding. The perfect balance of curry vs. sweet. The noodles were tasty and according to the menu they are fresh. Now, I know all that sounds great and everything, but OHMYFREAKINGDEARSWEETDEITYSAUCEPLATTERBUFFALOWEASELSUNFISHCAKES ~The fried banana and coconut ice cream. THAT is all the reason you need to come here. I mean, who doesn’t want to wrap their lips around a hot banana? Or dip their hot banana in a melty creamy sauce. This is the Be All End All holy crap on a cracker best dessert that has ever in a million moons graced these lips. Pretty sure not even in my past lives. The Banana — wrapped in an egg roll style wrapper and deep fried to a perfect crisp with a warm banana center The Coconut Ice cream– Rich but light coconut flavor. Not overwhelming Drizzled with a light coconut caramel sauce. It was so decadent, so comforting to eat and worth every single minute of life that I lose to food coma. This is a dessert to turn all mortals to Gods and all bananas to victims. LETTHEHUNGERGAMESBEGIN! (I stole that last line there from Pocahontas and claim no ownership of said last line.)
