Olive You

Love this place but more importantly I love the house aged balsamic. It is priced at $ 20 a large bottle and I would pay $ 30. Perfect for gifts. The staff is so kind. Plenty of samples. Great insight and the selection is wonderful. Parking is on the street. Safe area. There is now a food bar in the front of the olive oil section but I shop here for the oil and vinegars. I hope this place never goes away!

I have upped the rating to five stars because of the helpful friendly service. The store is spacious and uncluttered and clean and easy to browse. The Balsamics are in one section and the oils have moved further back to expanded space. The sampling is a great experience and really helps to make a decision. This is not a cheap place but it’s not supermarket oils and vinegar. The tangy flavors makes for some variety in a stir fry or any type of meat. The owner will answer any question and is willing to spend time explaining her selections.

The owner is such a sweetheart. They have a great selecton of infused oils and teas! (they even have Yerba Mate!) I definitely reccomend.

This. Is. The BOMB store! Hands down an amazing store with amazing olive products. Hedi Olson, was an amazing knowledgable staff who also is the owner. With her expertise and warm service, I learned quite a bit about olives. She allowed me to taste several samples and gave her preference in favoritism.
The atmosphere joins a few other stores and the feeling when you walk in is warm and inviting. They also serve tea, in which allows you to smell the samples before buying. To me, that helps a lot! It gives me a general run down as to what I may expect when actually tasting it.
I purchased an olive that I tried, jalapeño and lime… and man, is it good!!! Spicy yes, but just the right amount of flavor!
Trust me, go get a haircut at 526 and browse around the OLIVE YOU and you will have a merry afternoon!

This is my kinda store! I could sample olives oils and vinegar for hours. Owner was super friendly and the prices were great, especially for this area. I ended up buying 4 bottles of vinegar and an one herb infused olive oil. Only bummer is I forgot to use my Unilocal check-​in discount. Oh well, another time as I will be back!

Fabulous place run by two sisters that know what the heck they are talking about. Great space with unique gift items alongside those fantastic olive oils. The balsamic vinegars are tasty and a little will go a long way. There are tons of flavors of both vinegar and oils that will keep any gourmet cook satisfied for a ling time.
The owners are fun down to earth real people with a great sense of humor. I will be stopping back to satisfy all of my gift ideas.

I have been a few times now. The owners of this place make you feel like tasting 10 different olive oils and 10 different balsamic vinegars is perfectly normal. They offer coffee, tea, water and WiFi. What I like most is how well it fits into the neighborhood. The prices ate really good. I do how ever have to remember to buy what I can use and go back often.

ooohhhh my olive oil!
1) Been here twice, last visit was about two weeks ago.
Have gotten two bottles of olive oil and two bottles of Balsamic Vinegar — the raspberry balsamic is much more versatile than the blueberry one I have now.
For the olive oil — I prefer the versatility of the plain one from New Zealand rather than the parm and dried tomato one I got.
I also got two bottle spouts that have worked great.
2) The lady remembered me from my first visit! I had not yet mentioned that I was coming back for more. She is the nicest
3) They have complimentary water and coffee, and sometimes soda
4)They have a seating area with magazines and a mounted TV
5) Very open, light, great floor layout, nice displays, good seasoning packets, offer paper tasting cups and bread… and water to cleanse your palate or otherwise.
Cons: none!

I love going to places like this because I can get drunk on samples of balsamic vinegar and no one bats an eye.
This particular gourmet oil, vinegar and spice shop has something going for it that the others fail to bring up to base and that’s the personable and welcoming feel that the owners have built into their brick and mortar. I can’t remember the name of the super sweet woman we talked to today (Sorry, Heather or Heidi!) but she chatted and joked and never once made us feel pressured to either talk to her or to buy anything.
She explained a few key things that you should take note of, especially in this neighborhood. The first is that you can order their products online and have them shipped. The second, you can order online and they have curb side service. Parking can be a pain on Cathedral Hill so just order what you want and they will run it out to your car when you pull up. Perfect, right? Third and possibly most exciting thing to look forward to is there are future plans to also stock tea. She explained it was their passion and you can tell that there is no holding those two back. Delicious teas will hopefully be in our near future!
I tried a few choice vinegars and despite my deep hatred for anything fig flavored, the fig balsamic was amazing on the palate. It was a thick, sweet and rich. The coconut balsamic was bright, light and begging me to buy it. The smoked balsamic was something I hope will never grace my lips again.
The space is open and airy with a play area for kids and a coffee station. Olive You has got it going on!

This is one of the few places where I would consider maxing out my credit card.
During my random stroll through the Cathedral Hill neighborhood, yesterday, I luckily stumbled upon Olive You. Below were my immediate thoughts:
–Hilarious and clever play on words. I heart puns.
–I could use some more olive oil.
–I can never have enough olive oil.
Upon entering, you’ll notice that the space is very open, clean, and beautiful, and it’s occupied by several racks and tables that display their robust and unique selection of balsamic vinegars, olive oils, and spices. I came in looking for olive oil, so I ventured over to that section first.
Incredible, like Al Pacino’s acting in The Godfather.
With so many awesome combos, it’s really easy to feel overwhelmed. Thankfully, I met one of the owners who guided me through a magical tasting journey. (You can sample just about everything.)
Pork lovers, take note, they have bacon-​flavored olive oil that should satiate your oink-​cravings in a somewhat healthy way! For those traditionalists, they also carry basil and truffle flavored oliv-​ixers, too. (Both delicious.) I decided to snag their grapefruit, so I can sexy up my spring mix salads.
I then ventured over to the balsamic vinegar section, and I have to say that I could’ve pounded full glasses of this stuff like the rum and cokes I did at my recent (and awkward) ten-​year reunion. (Read my review of 508 Club.) I decided to grab a bottle of their cinnamon pear, and I’m sure it’ll go incredibly well with the cheese, fruit, meat, and bread spreads I put together at home.
Each bottle was only about $ 16, which is pretty reasonable.
I spoke with her a bit more, and she gave me a tour of the entire space. Olive You is family oriented, so they created a relaxing seating area in the back that includes toys for kids and reading material for adults. Not to mention, they even have free WiFi and coffee! Wowza!
Tonight, I generously poured some of my grapefruit olive oil onto my mixed greens, and it took that baby to a new level. Thanks, Olive You!
