History

Established in 1905.

Mueller-Bies Funeral Home was founded in St. Paul in 1905 by Charles H. Mueller, and was known variously as the Charles H. Mueller Mortuary and the Mueller Undertaking Parlors. In 1935, Charles was joined in the business by his stepson, Albert N. Bies. Subsequently, the firm became known under its current name, and operated in the Frogtown area of St. Paul. In the 1980s-1990s, the firm opened a branch in Roseville, and Albert’s sons, Albert W. And Gregory, took over operations. Eventually, the chapel on Dale St. in St. Paul was closed, and another new facility opened in Lino Lakes.

Today, the Funeral Home continues to serve the community out of both the Lino Lakes and Roseville Chapels, and proudly counts two children, one daughter-in-law, and three grandchildren of Albert N. Bies among its owners and employees. In 2005, we were proud to celebrate one hundred years of service to the families of the Twin Cities
