Mosquito Shield was founded in September of 2001 in direct response to the absence of an effective and affordable mosquito barrier spray. We have all been there as homeowners, planning a family event in the backyard only to have it ruined by mosquitoes. It was clear that the available mosquito control products such as body sprays, candles, mosquito magnets and all other do it yourself mosquito barrier sprays were just not effective.

After a few years of testing different mosquito control products and working tirelessly to develop the proper method for applying the product, Mosquito Shield was born. It did not take long to realize how effective this method was and the true need that existed for something that really worked. Mosquito Shield began to train licensed technicians on mosquito behavior, preferred habitats and proper spraying techniques. Both Russ and Ann come from strong marketing and sales backgrounds. Russ has been in business-​to-​consumer sales for the past 20 years. Ann has held positions in sales, marketing, operations, and human resources. They both have Bachelor’s Degrees in Business and Ann holds a Masters in Organization Development. They love spending time outdoors!
