I have used this Midway location twice now in the past year(the most recent was to buy a card to put time on our phones in the past 24 hours). Normally I pay the monthly fee online, but thought it would be easier to go in and do this at the store. Online, I pay the fee. Done. The phone registers it in minutes(not hours). Going into this location turned into a costly mistake that breaks down as follows: Monthly fee: xx. xx Convenience Fee: $ 3.00 Sales Tax: xx. xx E911Tax: xx. xx That’s right — a Convenience fee PERPHONE for them to do the job they are paid to do? Now $ 3.00 isn’t a lot of money BUT for some people it is. I think that’s bullsh*t because it’s basically like an electronic tip jar for the person working there. NOW for the frosting on the cake. One phone worked within the hour after paying. The other phone that I paid for the monthly charges(in cash btw) … that phone required a call to the Boost company because cashier #773 at this location decided to «ADD a service» while logged in to do this, and then the account on that phone«Did NOT have enough funds for monthly service» Lucky for me, the customer service people at the other end of the phone call could straighten out the little mess he made. I don’t recommend this location and the only reason I stopped there was because I didn’t want to drive to the DTMPLS location or farther out. I will NOT make that mistake EVER again. Also, since the last time I went into this store, they have about 10 – 15 phones on display. There are lots of case options for a variety of phones they no longer carry(but you’re better off going to Amazon so you don’t pay 3−4X’s too much). This cashier #773 had the personality of a leftover baked potato and didn’t really seem to want to be there from his reaction to the other customers there(yeah — we weren’t the only ones). If you have to pay in a store or get a new phone(Boost, Virgin Mobile, or anything else) don’t go here. Find a better location — even if you have to go to Best Buy. At least they understand why they are there. (Too bad you can’t give out a Negative Star rating — this place would get a –2 star rating from me for the wasted time and cold baked potato service.)
