This is a great spot for my fellow all-you-can-eat lovers out there! Especially if you love soup, I went with the unlimited refill soup bowl and was glad I did! I tore through about 5 bowls of soup and wish I would have had room to try more! first was the white chicken chili, which was pretty fly — a must try, then the Wisconsin cheddar which is more of a thick cheese dip — but with unlimited breadsticks to dip and scoop it up! It was a pretty bomb combo, I def recommend doing that, but beyond a cheese mop the breadsticks aren’t really that great on their own, it’s really the only reason this place isn’t 5 stars. If the breadsticks were totally rockstar this place would be a screaming 5 stars no doubt! So then next up was the chain gang chili which was a pretty darn good classic chili, next up was one with veggies and beef which was a traditional thin broth and well seasoned beef and mixed veggies, loved it and onto my final bowl. The final bowl was the Italian chicken bambino, I’m not sure about the name but it tasted pretty darn good although I was pretty full by then so it might be even better than I was able to appreciate in my state of stuffedness! All in all a great spot to chow down on some yummy hearty soups and some OK breadsticks to dip along the way! The service was great too, the guy behind the counter was really cool and friendly, as quickly as I brought my empty bowl up and asked for the next one to try he was handing me a warm full bowl of soupy goodness! If you haven’t been, it’s def worth a visit!

Delicious soups, salad and sandwiches! The chicken wild rice soup here is scrumptious! Fresh all you can eat bread sticks is soooo nice, tooo! I had the ½ a sandwich and soup combo today… For the soup I always get the chicken wild rice soup, my favorite… and for the sandwich today I had the baked bacon chicken sandwich which was just so yummy! I love soups … and I wish there were more soup places like this… this one and the one in downtown Minneapolis are the last of the Eddington’s Soup and Salad places… a gem!

Soup was good as always, but so concerned to see large amounts of sliced turkey sitting in the counter top, not in a refrigerator. Appeared to be a mgr on duty but she appeared unconcerned. I was here for over 30 minutes and there the turkey sat. No soup spoons!!! And endless wait for breadsticks!!!

Delicious soup and all the men working 3÷8÷16 in the evening were total gentlemen. Very helpful with soup choices, fresh bread sticks all around really nice guys! Great experience!

Soup has always been ok here. The real reason to eat here was the breadsticks — they used to be fabulous. Tonight the soup was as usual, but the breadsticks were horrible. Dried out, flavorless and smaller. We won’t be back.

I also used to love Eddingtons when I worked in downtown Mpls. I was so excited to discover door dash delivered. Alas, I had the Wisconsin cheese soup which I used to love — this tasted like I imagine paste in kindergarten would — no zip, no tang of cheddar, I doctored it up with fresh black pepper, sorely needed salt, and some shredded cheddar from my fridge but… sigh it was a great memory. I had also ordered a tuna sandwich, which was another sad miscalculation on my part, I mean I figured who can mess up a deli tuna sandwich. but it was skimpy tuna on limp bread. I did try a bite of someone else’s wild rice soup and found that lacking in seasoning as well. The worst thing though? NOBREADSTICKS. I don’t understand how a place famous for soup and breadsticks wouldn’t put a couple per bowl in the bag. I even double check the door dash order form and ther was no place to order breadsticks so it wasn’t like we had to order them as an add on. You can never go back I guess.

Dark and dated. three ½ grilled cheese, one bottled water, 2 bottled pop, two cups soup w/breadsticks that were tossed & two cellophane wrapped deserts $ 28.00. Grilled cheese were thin, and tasteless. We ate in the Har Mar hallway to escape the rather dowdy atmosphere.

Disappointed in the Wisconsin Cheese Soup. It is so thick I can stand my spoon up, its so thick because it has too much flour in it. Its a cheese sauce. I get that some people may like that, but a good soup should be creamy and smooth. Do they make their soups from scratch? It tastes like it is from a can. for the price, I’m dissapointed.

I don’t go here very often because of one reason: the breadsticks are amazing, addicting, and I eat way more of them than I want. Their soup is very good as well, but I use that mainly as just something to accompany my breadsticks.

It’s finally soup season! I was sad to see a few of their other locations close. Eddington’s is a Twin Cities staple so I’m glad they’re still in my hood. If you love hearty soups and fresh baked breadsticks this is the joint to try. If you don’t love hearty soups and fresh baked breadsticks I’m not sure if we should be friends. It’s is the best for lunch. You’re in and out with no fuss and no food comma /fast food regret. They’ve been in business for something like 35 years and are locally owned and operated. I think they still manage to fly under the radar for some reason… I haven’t had a soup at Eddington’s that I haven’t liked. Make sure you come hungry.

So the one in Minnetonka closed? But this one is exactly the same(for all practical purposes). Awesome, always fresh and unlimited breadsticks. Delicious soup(I always get a mix between Basil Pinenut and Cheddar Cheese). And the staff was even friendly. My favorite part about cold weather is having a reason to go to Eddingtons.

I loved this place in college so of course when visiting 5 years later it was a must on my list of food places to hit up. Well unfortunately it was not as wonderful as I remembered. There was one particular soup that I always remember liking but couldn’t ever remember the name and unfortunately it was not there on my recent visit. I tried to go through as many memorable favorites as was humanly possible to consume. I started with a handful of bread sticks and the Wisconsin Cheddar Cheese which seemed more bland than I remembered, then I went after the Chicken & Wild Rice which was a little better. Next I got the Basil Pine Nut which was also tasty and then I finished off with the chicken and tortilla which I should’ve started with because it tasted the best. Even after looking at their menu online I still can’t figure out what that mysterious favorite soup I always loved was called. But after revisiting I think my palate has been refined since college because it just didn’t taste as amazing as I remembered. I checked in on foursquare of course after we paid and saw the $ 1.00 off a bottomless bowl and was bummed I missed out. Looks like they also do a deal on Unilocal too so whichever app you use, be sure to check-in before you pay!

Been here a couple times in the last few weeks… Both times I ordered the soup/sandwich $ 7.99 special. Getting the egg salad sandwich, a chicken tortilla soup and a pop. It is a tasty meal for a good price. I almost forgot, because I also can take about four breadsticks to go. The staff is always polite and quick. I will likely be back over the next few weeks, as it gets colder so my soup craving will increase. :) Good place for good food!

Nothing is better than soup on a cold and dreary day. Since those are the only days we’ve been having this spring so far, I’ve been in the mood for soup literally all the time. Eddingtons has a great variety of soups. Makes it hard to decide which one to order. My fave is the chicken wild rice with as many breadsticks that fit on my tray.

I visit this location as well as downtown mpls and this location is my favorite. The soup recipes and options are all the same but the unlimited breadsticks are superb here. They are cooked well so they are crispy, yet soft and covered in parmesean cheese. The ones downtown are bland and often under cooked. My favorite soups are the tomato basil pine nut, the clam chowder and the white chicken chili. The atmosphere here is very casual, cafeteria style. It’s not a place to take guests or hang out but it’s great to grab a quick meal. Be sure to check in on Unilocal or foursquare to save $.

BADBAD Mommy!!! My daughter was sick today and I came here to buy soup instead of making soup and am I ever glad I did! I have seen this place many times, walked by it to get to Baja Sol or LeAnn Chins, but never stopped. It is cafeteria style which took me off guard at first but the choice of soup they had was mind boggling! I settled on Chicken wild rice and Chicken tortilla soup. You get free bread sticks with your soup which were super yummy! I wish I had taken more! We both thought the chicken tortilla soup was good but a little thick. I thought the chicken wild rice soup was pretty bland but not bad. The man in front of me was talking about how good the chicken curry soup was so I will be trying that next. Its a great deal if you use your entertainment book coupons. Total for 8 bread sticks and two large bowls of soup was less than six dollars! I will most definitely be using my other three coupons in my book, that’s for sure. The staff was very very nice and because of this, I give four stars for three star food. Come give this place a try. I think its a great place to get some warm, feel-good soup and remember no spoon necessary, you can use those scrumptious bread sticks as your spoon!

This is the place for me — if I’m sick, have a migraine, it’s cold, snowy, rainy — anything that’s off — this place makes it better. I always get their bottomless bowl and start off with Wild Rice. I rarely have anything else, but I have had their chicken noodle, tortilla and tomato — none of which disappointed.

mmmmm… breadsticks… I love that they have an option of getting the sampler, three mini bowls of soup, so you can try a few different things. The only times I’ve eaten here have been during lunch breaks so I’ve always been on a tight schedule but I think I would get the bottomless bowl if I ever came for dinner. Breadsticks, its what’s for lunch

Considering the kind of weather we’re experiencing this winter, what could be a better way to erase the winter blues than with delicious hot soup… and lots of it?! I first learned of Eddingtons a couple years ago, which was good for my tastebuds, but bad for my waistline. I jumped right in and started off with bottomless bowls of all kinds of soups, but have since graduated to a sampler of my 3 favorites on any given day. Don’t get me wrong, I could eat a lot more, and the bottomless bowl is quite a value for $ 6.99. But for a dollar less, I can satisfy my tastebuds without needing to starve myself for a week straight afterwards! My favorites are the wild rice, chicken pot pie, and corn chowder. The white chicken chili is decent too, although I think I like Ruby Tuesday’s version better. They also occasionally have Zuppa Toscana, which is a popular soup at Olive Garden. Oh, and one can’t forget the breadsticks! Who needs a spoon when you’ve got unlimited breadsticks? Their soup schedule changes daily, so if you visit once and don’t like their offerings, try them again another day. You can see their schedule here:

Met a friend at Eddington’s today for lunch. My mom has been raving about their soup for months, so I thought I’d give it a try. Plus I had a coupon for buy-one-get-one on bowls of soup. Their soup list is pretty extensive and changes daily. I decided on the White Chicken Chili. It had a nice, spicy kick to it but I didn’t find many chunks of chicken. It was mostly filled with white beans and other mysterious veggies that were disguised by the thick orange broth. I kind of wish I would have ordered the chicken tortilla soup that was served with whole tortilla chips and a pile of shredded cheddar on top. While Eddington’s doesn’t have much of an atomosphere, it’s a great place to grab some soup, especially on a cold winter day. And if you can get one of their coupons, it’s a great deal!
