Underrated place! Love going here before Wild games when everything else is super overcrowded and impossible to get a spot. Good burgers, good food, and good atmosphere! What more can you ask for?

Nice place just down from the excel. Great patio atmosphere and lightening quick service. Go for a burger they are tasty. Has a great tap selection and easy to understand beer menu to point you to what you want.

Slow service, mediocre food, not worth it at all. More like Burger Slows! I waited for one hour for a burger that takes at least 15 minutes to cook. This is why I oppose $ 15 hour minimum wage increase.

Great burgers and even better service. Our family of four ate for under $ 50 for lunch.

Shannon provided awesome service as we sat in the patio willing the weather to be nicer than it was. And the homemade potato chips are second to none!

My husband and myself have frequented this place since they opened. At that time, really good burgers and a nice clean restaurant with pleasant waitpeople… at that time. Since then, the burgers are still good but we went there on Mon the 26th and all that has changed. We were served by a person who couldn‘t have cared whether we were there or not. Cold as ice… no hello just what do you want. Never came back to see if our dinner was good or not and the place wasn‘t busy. My husband went to use the restroom and it stunk of raw sewage which it had before but just worse now. The floors were dirty under tables from dropped food. When we left, I pushed the door open and it was sticky. We are the best tippers around as we travel a lot but no tip last night for the nasty little girl that was supposed to be our server. We have never felt compelled to do that before. Husband spoke to the 18 yr old mgr. and he could have cared less. No mo Moes for us.

Went for some drinks and food with some friends of ours and was hoping to eat an outstanding burger, it’s in the name… :) After reviewing the menu and seeing a juicy, it was apparent what my decision was going to be. I have to see if it’s worth adding to my Juicy Lucy challenge! Unfortunately, it was not… It was a little on the small side and shaped more like a meatball than a juicy and filled with a «cheesy, onion-filled gooey center», but it was in need of far more cheese to make it enjoyable. It wasn’t all bad though. The flavor of their juicy was actually really good with the addition of the onions. Something I wish the so called«kings of the juicy’s» would learn to do… We also ordered some buffalo wings(of course extra crispy), but they were just wings. Not bad, but nothing to cheer about either… So, while there are plenty of other places I would rather eat juicy’s and wings at, not a bad place to stop if you’re in downtown St. Paul and better than Tom Reid’s…

Great spot for a burger and beer before the Wild game. An easy brief walk away. I had the Juicy Moe burger, which was delicious. A gooey cheesy onion filled center was the clincher. Comes with shoestring fries, which were great.

They have a parking lot, however you have to pay 15 in cash to park and then come in and eat and get 15 off your tab, ridiculous when you don’t have cash have to pay to use their atm, come in side and your parking attendant threatens to tow our car! Eat here once a week, will never be back. Rudest servers and the manager says I don’t know what to tell you! Never eat at burger moes service is terrible! Then after eating there paying the 15 to park paying the fee to use their atm their parking attendant threatens to beat up my husband and stated it’s his lot he’ll do whatever he wants! Do not ever give your hard earned money to burger moes, so many other great restaurants in st paul, skip this one by all means!!!

Stopped in before a Wild game knowing it would be packed. The seating was seat yourself. Drinks: My friend and I each got two beers. Our first was from the craft beer selection and our last was a Mich Golden Light. The beers were very expensive. Each craft beer was $ 7.00 and a Mich Golden was $ 5.50. The beers seemed very small. I wouldn’t be surprised if they were smaller than a pint. Food: As an app we shared the cheese curds. I was disappointed because the cheese curds were the frozen curds that you can buy. They were very over priced for what we got. My friend and I split a Axtell Burger. It comes with Sharp Cheddar and Bacon and a side of fries. The burger was fine. It was nothing special and you could tell the patty had been frozen Service: Our food and beers came out fast considering how busy it was. The food runners were on point. I was also happy that the kitchen split our burgers and gave us our own fries. Our server was nice, but of little words.

It’s not bad, but it’s not great. I’d put it on par with SmashBurger. Service was very nonchalant. Nothing really makes me want to come back, it’s just a typical bar/grill restaurant. Nothing much more to say!

My kind of sports bar. Nothing fancy going on at Moe’s, but for me it’s all about the wonderful community of people brought together by good food and drinks. I’ll stop in here sometimes just to chat with friends and have a beer, especially when they have the games playing on TV. So far each visit has been a lot of fun if not just plain relaxing. Don’t often order food from Moe’s, however every now and then I’ll order a cheeseburger and some fries if I’m hungry. Keep an eye out for special deals and offers, they often have them.

Great food, we always try to go for lunch when in the area! Great burgers. One of my dad’s favoright burger spots. It is really a nice place in the summer with the patio set-up!

No real complaints. Prefer The Nook or Shamrocks but the burgers here are good and there is a nice beer selection. Pretty busy on the Saturday night we were there and we had a large party so the service wasn’t as quick as I would have preferred but the server was very friendly. Its in a great location for food before or after an event at the Xcel which I believe is its primary advantage. Pretty large patio too that I imagine gets a lot of use in the spring and summer. You can find better burgers in St. Paul, but if downtown for an event this is a good place to wind up.

The food was good. The kids sundaes are HUGE! And the service was crazy fast! Our waiter Joey was impressive and great with the kids. Definitely recommend for dinner before an event at the Xcel.

We had lunch at Moe’s… We had heard about the Jucy Lucy burger(by the way… «Jucy Lucy» is not a typo) but didn’t have a chance to get there so we ended up having Moe’s version of the Jucy Lucy and it was delicious! Loved the waffle fries too! The service was friendly and attentive. Definitely worth a try if you’re looking for a good burger!

I go here before most Wild games, so a lot. The great thing is that if you park in their lot, you pay $ 15 to park and get $ 15 off your bill. Free parking. The burgers are as good as any other burgers close to the Xcel Center(not close to The Nook or Parlour but good enough). The Buffalo Chicken salad and paninis are both good enough for a sports bar. The fries at great. Huge beer list, normal prices drinks and super fast service makes this a great place to go before an Xcel event

The pooch-friendly patio is the best feature of burger moe’s — a close second is $ 6 burgers on Monday. However, this the ONLY time I recommend buying a burger. Why? Burger Moe’s is ‘Burger Meh.’ The burgers are totally worth $ 6. I’m just not convinced they are worth a penny more. The thick patties are cooked medium(a good start) but everything sort of goes downhill from there. The buns are to ‘bready’ and burger are underdressed and under seasoned. The end result is more bland than beefy. The happy hour at Moe’s Tues-Fri and their awesome outdoor patio are the winning combination.(Mon-Fri: 2−6pm and 9pm-Midnight; Sat-sun: 3−6pm and 9pm-Midnight). Appetizer specials. Affordable drinks. Awesome outdoor seating. Gather here in good company.

Food is decent but don’t eat here if you’re in a hurry! Always 45+ minutes for food during Excel events, and the owner doesn’t care. You also must still pay your automatic gratuity of 20%(even if you’re just a party of 2). I’ll be skipping this place(and the Downtowner across the street) in the future!

Just had lunch here on the patio. It’s a beautiful day out and it was nice to sit outside, however, I think the patio was almost too shaded. They have huge umbrellas basically covering the whole thing so you never get to feel the warmth of the sun. This would likely be appreciated on a scorching day, but today it would’ve been nice to feel a bit more outside. I had the burger special, which had bacon, pepper jack, and an onion jam. It was really good, very juicy, and served with a good portion of decent fries. They said the burger would come medium, it was medium well at best, really it was well done. As I said though, it was still good. Our server was the right level of attentive, filling our drinks regularly, but otherwise leaving us alone. Someone near us was eating a buffalo chicken salad that looked really good, I will try that next time if I’m not hankerin’ for a burger

There is something about this place that just screams«gotcha sucker!» In my opinion. Maybe it’s the beer list with no prices, or the fact that the wait staff can’t tell you the price for anything until you see the bill where, lo and behold, all of those beers are $ 8-$ 9 a piece… The patio is nice, I can’t say anything positive or negative about the food — my opinion might be clouded by what I see as shadiness in how they act about prices.

The patio space alone deserves 5+ stars! It is beautiful, cozy, and secluded. The food was ok, nothing amazing, but good enough and the portions were huge. Our server was pretty bad. He did the bare minimum and spent most of his time chatting with other servers or looking at his phone. Overall; I definitely will be back when looking for a good summer patio happy hour! Just not when looking for a really good meal or good service.

We didn’t have a server for a really long time but besides that, I wasn’t impressed at all with the burger, it tasted like a frozen burger patty. The sweet potato fries were okay, which is why I gave this place three stars instead of two. Until I find better burgers, I will stick to Blue Door Pub burgers, The Nook and Santana’s burgers. I doubt I will be going here again.

Came here last night with a group of friends. Service was terrible! Not only did we have to clean off a table to be able to sit down, but our server acted like we were a complete burden to her before she ever even came to take our order. She was also extremely slow and never did wipe off the table for us after we sat. When it was time to pay, someone in our group tried to cash out at the bar to get some change and the giant ginger bartender snapped at her and told her that since she’s sitting at a table, she should talk to the server. All she really wanted was change, but to be spoken to so rudely as a customer is completely unacceptable. Slow service+crabby employees+dirty tables=Burger Moe’s

Monday Burger Moe’s run their ongoing«Any burger for $ 5» deal. Be prepared to eat. The Angus burgers are a half pound. I had the Bleu Sky Burger(Grilled mushrooms & balsamic caramelized onions topped with melted bleu cheese.) Based on my «Good food at a great price» criteria, I would give this 5 stars.

Slow, lazy Saturday afternoon. Everything had that ‘sticky’ feeling; menus were sticky, table was sticky, air was sticky, service was … good. ok, I just got around to finishing this post from August 2014. Normally, by now, I would have let the draft post slide, but each time I see their ad in the local rag, I think mediocre and sticky. For a downtown St. Paul burger joint, at these prices, I expected a bit more. Plus, the name has ‘burger’ in it. Hello?! I’m ok paying these prices for an insane hamburger, but I’ve had much better elsewhere in St. Paul at FAR more reasonable prices. If this place survives, I’m betting it’s because of location and visitors who don’t know better. Looking for convenient pub food near the Xcel Energy Center, something in your stomach to sop up $ 12 beers, and a quick shuffle to the Ex, Burger Moore’s works. Otherwise, do a bit more research.

Meh. I have experienced better. Want a great lunch on 7th street? This aint the place. The burgers were average — and who wants to pay $ 13 for an average burger? I will admit the tots are just about the best part of going there — especially the Tuscan tots — oh, yeah, you really should order those — but still doesn’t make up for the fact that this is an over priced burger joint. However, if you are with a group of people and want a place you all can gather to get burgers and beers and watch TV, I could say this might be the place for you. Unfortunately, that wasn’t what I was looking for.

I’ve noticed how many reviews fail to mention HH. So here’s the scoop on Burger Moe’s. M-F 2−6PM&9−1AM Sat& Sun 3−6PM&9−1AM $ 1 off All Beer & Cocktails $ 2 off all burgers. For apps. The beef sliders come perfectly cooked @ medium rare, just the way I like it. The tuscan fries are Crispy golden brown and seasoned perfectly. I highly recommend stopping by for an indoor or Patio experience.

The burgers were good, the service was kinda slow. We were in the area and decided to give them a try. I had the Axtell Burger, my wife had the Juicy Moe Burger, and my daughter had The Classic Burger. All three of us liked our burgers and fries. My wife didn’t know what a cheese filled burger was. When she bit into the burger, it actually squirted onto her arm, her shirt sleeve, and the chair behind her! Luckily, no one was sitting in the chair at the time. I had no idea cheese could project itself so far out of a hamburger. The service was a little slow, despite the fact that it wasn’t very busy. The jukebox(which was right next to our table) ripped off my daughter twice. This bummed her out. Fifty cents is a lot of money for a 12 year old. All in all, everything was okay. –Daddy Maxx Retro
