A Johnson & Sons Florist

I came in and bought flowers for my wife’s birthday and she could not be happier, which means A. Johnson & Sons is doing something right. Very helpful staff and the shop has a really fun décor. I will be using them in the near future.

I’ve ordered flowers from this florist about a dozen times, and each time I’ve been impressed. The delivery has always been fast and reliable, and the customer service team has always taken the time to help me with orders over the phone. Arrangements are always unique and beautiful, I’ve never been disappointed with the final bouquet.

I am a long-​distance customer. I ordered a plant basket from the website on Friday night about an hour before closing and my flowers were delivered late Saturday morning. My recipient was delighted, so I am delighted. With a delivery coupon I found on the web, delivery was discounted to just $ 2.

This place is pretty awesome. Not only is the outside of the store very cool but the inside is even more enchanting. When you come in there is a huge fake tree that makes it seem like a conservatory or something, pretty accurate for a plant store I’d say!
The staff is more than friendly. They are eager to help with anything and all questions that you may have about planting, flowers, etc. I went in with questions about soil and potting and they jumped on the idea to show me around the store and introduce me to new aspects of potting, etc. Very helpful. The PRICES are also fairly good. The soil was relatively cheap with good brands and prices listed on each item. The only thing I would request is that they have more stocks of things out and have a few more brands to pick from. Especially organic brands, that could be important for a lot of people.
Very fun store, I would recommend to anyone looking for a cool experience and awesome service needs.

My students wanted to order flowers for a classmate in the hospital and Aunnie (sp?) went above and beyond for us! She called me several times to update me on the status of the order and sent me pictures of the arrangement so I could show my students. She took care to add the special touches the students wanted and was amazing to work with. When I told the students about what Aunnie was doing for them they all glowed and learned what quality customer service looks like in the process. The flowers were beautiful and the customer service was awesome!

I have used them for years and they deliver within hours and the arrangements are always stunning. Very easy online store and great prices– best of the Twin Cities.

I think I went on a bad day. Most of their stock was wilted and old looking and there wasn’t a huge selection of cut flowers. Also I felt the prices were a bit high. I selected roughly 7 flower stems and had to pay over $ 36. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I don’t have much comparison to other florist, so they are perhaps the best.

I would highly recommend this flower shop! Not because I know anything about flowers, but because I am terrible with dates, and planning, and on my Anniversary, which i was unprepared for, I tried to order flowers from this flower shop because it was just randomly the first one that I tried, and one of the owners personally drove the flowers to my house at close to midnight so I was just barely able to get her the flowers on my anniversary. He also said he was driving home from Wisconsin, so it was just a very unique and wild situation, but I was really surprised at the commitment that he put forth to help me look like a good husband. I also trusted them to put together what they described as a «gnarly arrangement» and it was beautiful, she loved it! Like I said, I dunno much about flowers, like none, but I do know good people and good business, and I was very happy with this establishment!

I could have ordered flowers from one of the big, nationally-​known websites but decided to try Johnson & Sons because I wanted to support a local business. I was not disappointed! I ordered the bouquet at 8:30 PM the night before I wanted the flowers delivered (the original gift had not arrived yet, this was Plan B), and my mom received them before noon! Mom was very impressed with the variety and colors of the flowers and loved them. Yay!

This is the best florist in the Twin Cities area. I have used Johnson & Sons for many different occasions, Valentines Day, funerals and any other flower needs. They are a family run business and treat their customers as they would a family member. I highly recommend them to everyone!

My dad always orders me flowers for my birthday and this was probably one of the worst experiences. It was after a snow storm, but they called and said they would not be able to deliver the flowers until Thursday. It was Monday. I live close enough that I was able to pick them up.
There was a mix up with the flowers and they could not find mine for a while. But once I received my flowers they were beautiful and worth the wait. The florists do an amazing job, the customer service needs to be a little better.

One of my favorite local florist shops. I used to make regular trips when I lived off Grand and now even though I live out of state, they are still my go-​to for fresh flowers when I’m in town or for a special occasion.

Had a recent and great experience ordering a custom arrangement for my parents’ 50^th wedding anniversary.
Met with one of their designers briefly and asked for a few certain things (to include a specific flower and to state my price limit). Also provided the vase to be used for the bouquet. I walked out of there feeling assured. I returned later that week to pick up my order. I noticed the arrangement did not include a color of flower she agreed to incorporate. I mentioned this to the counter staff and they brought the arrangement back to the designer and returned a few minutes later with some flower of that color inserted. Beautiful!
I felt well taken care of and the arrangement was admired by many. In talking with my mom yesterday, I asked how the flowers were holding up. She said that while a few of a certain flower have died off, there are others of the same flower in beautiful bloom and the arrangement still looks great! (this after 10 days).
I’d use them again.

I frequently order flowers from here. They are very accommodating and the flowers last a long time. The recipient of the flowers always gets many compliments.

Disclaimer — I think I might be spoiled. I’ve never had flowers delivered from any place else, nor do I want to.
I’ve had great experiences with A Johnson and Sons. They have the best floral arrangements and vases to go along!
I was recently delivered some white stargazer lillies since their shipment of pink ones was unacceptable. They were gorgeous! I received them 6 days ago and I still have them! A couple haven’t even opened.
I’ve also received beautiful autumnal displays and other intriguing, but not over the top arrangements.
Everyone here at work gets all giddy when the kind, older gentleman from A Johnson walks in. You see him and you know something good is coming along with it!

Great quality and customer service. I initially worked with Andy on my wedding flowers, and although they ended up being out of my price range, I highly recommend him for any of your flower needs. You will be completely taken care of.

Ordered a Valentine’s Day bouquet for my sweetie of Stargazer Lillies w/​greens and small «baby’s breath» size flowers. The operator who took the order was very professional & warm, giving me lots of choices & options. They arrived at her work (St. Paul Travelers Insurance, downtown) well before Noon. She sent me a cellphone picture: the most amazing bouquet I’ve ever seen (I’ve sent lotsa flowers in my life.) The blossoms were very healthy, with many buds per branch. They were packed well too.
They were not inexpensive, but not outrageous, and absolutely beautiful.

The bestest flowers in all the land (of the Highland, Grand Ave, and Groveland areas at least).
This is a family establishment that does flowers in an old tradition of excellence.
You could order something from FTD, or you could call a local place and make sure it’s done right. This would also be a best bet for weddings and dead people festivities.
