7 Nails and Spa

Been here once and already in love with it. Found it on Unilocal,called and made a reservation for same day, got there — easy to find and lots of parking!
I got full set manicure of probably what they call «pink and white acrylics» which is gel based and not powder based. I asked for square nails and gel nail paint (paid $ 70+ tip for it). Pictures attached.
I was very pleased with the time and attention paid to my nails and I was constantly asked if they look okay or if I want anything changed. Love it! The interiors looked great and location is great too! TV was muted — which is always a plus for me cause I’m there to relax.
Very happy with the manicure and hoping it’ll last long; let’s wait and watch. Can’t wait to go back for my gel pedicure now — stay tuned!

I’m losing respect very fast for this place. I had to leave the last time I was here because I couldn’t get helped in time to make it to work & was just sitting around for about 30 – 40 min waiting for someone to open up. So this time I thought I was being smarter in calling close enough but ahead of time to see if they had room and even to ask how long a regular manicure took. The receptionist said yes they had room and it’d take 30 min. I came in right on time, no one was available, and chose out a color and sat myself. I waited 10 min before I finally asked if anyone was going to free up in time. They said they’d probably not be open until at least 20 – 15 min. There were two employees working on people. This is unacceptable. I hope when I call ahead of time, they would anticipate me coming in and make room for me in order to get on with my day. This was very upsetting and I will not be back again.
The lose of a regular.

Recently moved to twin cities from Boston and had to find new nail place. Took me more than a couple tries, but finally found them! Love 7!

I wouldn’t even give them 1 star. Literally the worst service I have ever had. They do better job in beauty school. Wish I could leave a picture of my current nail (their work). I get my nails done almost every 2 weeks. Again in am so very disappointed.
I went to this place because they were highly ranked on Google. I was greeted and welcomed… Everything went down hill as soon as I sat down and told them I needed gel fill and fix 3 nails ($ 3 each but they told me it would be $ 10 :/​). They insisted on take by my nails off that I just put on last week. I usually go with get for 4 mo and then take them off completely for 2 mo to give my nails a break and a chance to grow out again. So brand new nails — I said I wasn’t interested in taking them off (would cause too much damage). She was fussing and huffing — kept speaking a native language which is uncomfortable because it sounded she was complaining. Then we proceed on filling and I politely asked not to make them bulgy. She didn’t like that again.
PS — when she glued fake nail on (the one that was broken) — one nail was only half way glued and I asked her to add more glue so I wouldn’t get fungus later on please and she was just furious w me. Grrrr. I don’t know if I should have just went w it — but I speak when I see something is wrong or when something done isn’t the way I like it. Wouldn’t you? Filing nails was also a challage. She couldn’t get the shape right either. At this point I got up and went to the bathroom cause I was so disappointed. I almost wanted to cry. When I return — my manicurist went to help someone else. I sat there and waited for at lest 20 minutes. So rude. No one said a word while I waited :(Finally a lady that greeted me at very beginning took over and tried making up for the other. She must of been very new to this business — she couldn’t even draw my French lines straight and even. When I was drying my nails I brought it to her attention that 5 of my French lines are very uneven — she fussed and said well we’ll have to take polish off completely and redo everything while looking at clock (now they were 5 min passed closed time). I politely declined. Never ever would I go there again.

Again, my traveling from Minnetonka to get my nails done every two weeks pays off in happiness! Angela is a-​mazing! I came in for a quick polish change & while there decided I wanted some extra ‘bling’. Showed her a picture on Pinterest, & it was like she did this design every day.
A family run salon, you have mom, cousins, uncles, aunties & daughters all working together. They all obviously like each other & work really well together. They even (all!) get to know their regulars by name!
Love the family ‘vibe’ here — reminds me of the family run businesses I grew up around in St. Paul.

I recently moved to Saint Paul, and I was in need of a new nail salon. I combed through Unilocal reviews left and right and most of the places seemed mediocre. 7 immediately caught my eye with how lovely the interior was, I thought their work was nice too.
Fast forward to this morning, I called and booked an appointment, and ended up arriving early. Eva came running to the front with a smile asking how she could help me. I showed her a picture of the style I was going for and she was more than willing to do them. They brought me hot green tea which was perfect for a cold day!
I was impressed with how clean their salon was, as well as how meticulous she was with making sure my nails were cut the same and matched. The selection they have for polish is HUGE, I told her it was the hardest decision I’d have to make all day. She helped me narrow it down, and they looked amazing after my matte top coat!
I had a wonderful time and will definitely be recommending this to my friends!

I would say I’ve been coming here for the past 4 months 2x a month to get full sets and refills. Came in wanting to get a full new set today since I’ve been refilling for the past few times so I asked Tina if she could remove my nails underneath the gel acrylic because it was growing out long and getting yellowish color and if not then I would like a new set. She said she can remove it and that I didn’t need a new set till next time.
(FYI I am super picky, ESPECIALLY when it comes to nails)
So anyways she refilled and started shaping and I didn’t like it because it was all uneven. One side more skinny than the other and her response was they can’t all be the same so I didn’t say anything and figured wait till she is done maybe it will be ok. THEN she turned to her coworkers and started complaining talking smack about me in Vietnamese thinking I might not understand! Really? And the manager Angela was sitting right. You couldn’t wait till I was gone to complain and talk shit? You have to do it right there where the customer is sitting right in front of you?! How unprofessional can you be? How disrespectful and rude! Don’t get me wrong, she’s a good tech but that unprofessional attitude can make your clients go elsewhere no matter how good you are. I don’t pay $ 40 for refill and tip $ 10 to be shit talked right in front of my face. The workers might not care but the owner should definitely train your workers on better customer service. Thanks but no thanks I will take my business some where else.

I came here the day before my wedding with my sister. We were both planning on having gel manicures. The lady doing mine did not communicate with me what I wanted and chopped off half of my nails before I could stop her. I had worked on growing out my nails before the big day and now they were short and square, exactly the opposite of what I wanted.
Another younger female came to the rescue and I chose to do acrylics to fix them. She did a wonderful job and was very chatty and nice and did not seem to mind that she was having to put in more time in working on my nails (it was after 8:00pm when the store closed). Overall, what could have been a slightly traumatic experience was fixed.
There is a parking lot available which is nice and there is a lot of space, so it would be nice for larger events. They had a ton of colors to choose from too, like a ton!
Also, for Bride’s, they give a gift card-​I cant remember what it is for, but make sure to mention that.

I am beginning the break up process with my old nail salon. You know how that is… After about a year with a salon, you start to feel unappreciated so time to move on. I needed a pedicure so I thought I would try out this place with my feet first!
I made an appointment but I really didn’t need to as the place was almost empty when I arrived. I was told to pick a color and the girl, I believe her name was Jane., started running my water. I immediately look for an outlet to plug my phone in cuz yep, I am that kind of gal. always looking for a plugin to charge my phone! Guess what my girl does??? She brings me an extension cord so I can plug my phone in comfortably and it goes to my chair!!! Yes!!!
THIS alone is worthy of five stars!
I get all comfy in my chair, get the massage vibrating how I like it, and she starts her magic on my feet. She gave me the longest leg massages I have ever had in my life! I swear each leg was like 6 minutes. It felt amazing and the scrub smelled yummy! My feet are softer than a newborn baby’s and they look perfect in pink!
I will try my hands next week and update as needed but one last thing… Because I am such a clutz, on my way out to my car, my charging block fell underneath my car, so I pulled the car forward so I could grab it, and guess who comes running out of the salon and picks the block up for me??? YES. My girl was watching me and came outside to grab the block and give it to me!!! AHHHMAZING service all around!
I do not know why more people don’t come here or maybe I was there at an off time but people, come try this place out! Pedicure was $ 30 and acrylic fill is $ 20.

So friendly, professional, and courteous. The off street parking is a plus. There is plenty of room so you don’t feel crammed in. Nails and pedis are separated so it feels more relaxing. Extensive selection of colors for both gel and regular and all the polish and products are newer. Not like a lot of salons where you can tell some bottles are years upon years old. Offered bottled water right away. Very meticulous work, again not hurried. Felt really at home and welcome. CLEAN!!!

I’ve been here 5+ times before deciding to review. I get great service every time and they do an awesome job. My pedicure today almost put me to sleep, it was so relaxing. The massaging chairs, the gentleness of the technicians, and the spa music are just great. My gel manicures here always last longer than anywhere else. Another thing I love is that they always check with you during your service to make sure you are comfortable, whether by offering water, checking to see if you like the shape of your nails, etc. It’s also super clean.

I tried going to another place for a few weeks, and it didn’t work out. I went with the cheaper manicure and had to go twice a month nothing held up. I always loved this spot. Mainly it’s a genuine state of the art spa. Angela is my go to person. Now using the liquid gel, I go every 3 weeks. It takes extra time, well worth it. I’m always getting compliments, and even men notice my manicure. I tried the changing colors which is temperature sensitive, and these are a conversation piece. I was once at a coffee shop in B&N and the were changing every 5 minutes. I’ve also become a mani-​pedi person. I’m hooked on pedicures, now. I don’t use polish. They even create a toenail for me from when I dropped a crockpot on it and ruined it for life. I get high on these beautiful smells. They have herbal spas and now fruit. The massage chair sets off the day and I read a good 50 pages. I feel and act like royalty here.

I was in the area and stopped in because of the raving reviews for this salon and wish I would’ve kept driving. Would’ve saved myself A LOT of time and money.
I got the hands down, WORST gel manicure of my life here.
Everyone working was bouncing between 2 customers causing the waits to be ridiculous.
I got a gel manicure. I was left for THIRTY MINUTES for the old polish to soak off (should be a max 5 minute process). Then the manicure itself was ONLY 20 minutes. Everywhere else I have been the manicure is 50 – 60 minutes of actual care and manicuring, AND $ 5 – 10 CHEAPER!!!
My nail tech didn’t use ANY oil or lotion on my hands before jamming tools into my cuticles. The tools were DULL so it felt like she was tearing off my cuticles with a pliers. I was cut AT LEAST 3 times just with the nail file. My hands are so sore it hurts to touch anything. NOT OK.
The polish is also horrendous. She spread it on so thin, streaky and there’s as much on my skin as my nails. I had to ask her to fix it and then she just added more to my skin and didn’t fix it anything.
If I hadn’t already had been there for an hour (half of which I was pretty much ignored) I would’ve asked for a redo or refused to pay, but I was so disgusted with the service and quality I wanted to run as fast as I could. Needless to say I did not leave a tip and will never go back again.

Came as a walk in on a Sunday. Best pedicure I’ve had in a long while. By his place is clean, professional and so relaxing. The hot towel on the feet after massage is pure heaven. I will definitely be back!

Changed it up and decided to give 7 Nails Spa a try by getting a pedicure. A very great pro about the salon is that they have ample of parking! The nail shop is quite large, clean, modern and new! It was not at all busy when I came so I was admitted right away! I really liked that this nail salon had a very large selection of colors! So I took a little while picking out my color. My technician was very friendly and attentive offering me a beverage and making me comfortable during my service. I got the basic pedicure and it was pleasant but nothing special, usually with basic pedicures, there’s longer massages and scented lotion. The technician used only body oil. Also the basic pedicure took WAY too long, the technician went a little too cuticle happy and knicked me a tad causing me to bleed a bit. Other than that it was a nice pedicure but for $ 30 it’s a tad overpriced, usually basic pedicures are $ 27 or $ 28. I don’t know if I’ll be back but give 7 nails spa a try! They have TONS of pedicure seats! Great for parties or large groups! In the end my toes are clean and it looks great! Hopefully the pedicure lasts a while.

I met Lee at Forever Shine. When she opened 7 Nails and Spa I followed her and I was so impressed. Her shop is so clean and everyone is so professional. Lee is the sweetest person. Not only does she make your nails beautiful but she advises you on how to care for your nails. The hours and location are great. No parking problems. Go see Lee for beautiful nails!

Just had a great pedicure. They took the time to give me 2 extra coats of my color so it looked perfect!

My boyfriend and I went for our first pedicure and manicure. We were greeted right away.
I was given plenty of time to pick out the colors for my nails and toes. There was a lot of nice color options and brands to choose from.
We both sat in the comfy massage chairs and received a bottle of water before our pedicure. My boyfriend had Thuy and I had Kenny. Both Thuy and Kenny did an amazing job to our feet and hands! Thank you for making us feel fabulous and happy. We love it and will be coming back!

My 4 year old daughter and I just went for our first mother daughter pedicure here. It was a great experience. Tina and Kenny were wonderful. We will be back!
