I have been a few times and my kids and I have always had good experiences. the prices are resonable considering you have a variery of colors and as much time as you want to create your piece.

The only positive thing I can say is that I enjoyed the company… of the girlfriend I brought with me. Went here because a Groupon-like coupon was offered and it sounded fun. Thank God for the coupon, because the merchandise is extremely overpriced. Even though painting is fairly self-explanatory, you always have a few questions when entering a new establishment — good luck. Service here is abrupt and you have to chase down the employee just to ask a question. Cheap painting materials are not organized, just haphazardly thrown into drawers. Selection of objects to paint is sparse. And, to top it all off, when we left our painted items to be glazed, we gave two phone numbers to reach us. After calling back over a week later to see when our items would be done, the female employee told us that they’d been done for days but we hadn’t left a phone number for them to call?!? That’s it, you guys screw up and then blame it on the customer… Basically, think of this as a cheap summer camp activity setup with an expensive price tag. The location is nestled in a cute little area, close to Clayton and Delmar Loop, so there’s some real potential for business if they get their act together. Hopefully the owner reads Unilocal and works on changing things — otherwise I can’t imagine it lasting much longer.

Took a couple of littles here for a fun treat. We’ve been to a variety of self paint ceramic places in other cities before and have always enjoyed it. The selection was very limited. I admit, that could be due to the summer camps they are doing, but even so, must say there should be a larger selection on a regular basis regardless. Prices were similar to those we’ve seen in other places. Customer service was friendly, but aloof. The atmosphere didn’t seem inviting and the sinks and bathrooms were dingy and dirty and downstairs. We enjoyed ourselves, but think we’ll try another option before we go back. The experience definitely did not blow me away.

Just uploaded a photo of my finished vase — looks great, and worked with water just fine, no complaints from me.

I went here with my sister because we got a groupon-like thing. They did have a really small selection. I wanted to do a mug initially, but they only had one style that I didn’t like. About 30 minutes into painting my vase, a guy came with a big delivery of more pottery, and when I went back to pick up my vase, I saw there was a better selection. Christmas must have wiped them out. My sister commented that it seemed more expensive than other places like it that she has been to. I didn’t think they had as many color options as other places I’ve been. The workers weren’t overly helpful. But on the other hand, we were both happy with our pottery, and we had a fun time painting. It’s a place to paint pottery, and it got the job done, but I’ve been to better places. EDIT: A few days after getting my vase back, I took a closer look and realized that the clear glaze that they put on it was not done well at all. There are spots where the clear glaze is much thicker so that there are a bunch of tiny bubbles in it, and the glaze on the bottom is so uneven that the vase wobbles. Also, I don’t know if this is normal but they didn’t glaze all of the inside of the vase. For these reasons, I’m downgrading this place to 2 stars.

My sister and I couldn’t think of what to get my mom for Mothers day so I came up with idea to make her something, I mean it worked when we were little so why not now. I wish I could say I really liked this place because I love the idea, but it really didn’t meet my expectations. First off their staff wasn’t really nice, I felt like we were interrupting her time that she was supposed to be texting her friends or doing her homework(I’m am pretty sure these girls were in high school). Second I didn’t really think they had much of a selection when it came to the stoneware you could paint. i took us a good 30 minutes to pick something to make for our mom and we are not picky in the least. The one thing that I can say about this place is that the mug we made did turn out well. Plus my mom did like it.
