A very family oriented place, I had tried out this form of martial arts with the family who owns this school, and have had no regrets whatsoever. My experience of it is that it is fun, yet at the same time there is an element of seriousness with learning discipline and the martial art. If you seek a fun place to work out to lose weight and trim your body into a fitness machine, while learnjng an effective style of self defense and humbly achieving the pride of earning your way through the ranks of an accomplished martial artist, then this is the place you want to be. If you want to give your child the gift of learning how to peacefully deal with prickly situations on the playground or on school, and never ending up being in trouble for it, or learning confidence around school peers, then this is the place your child should be at. If you seek to seriously study one of the the two official Olympic martial arts, which is Taekwondo(while the other recognized Olympic sport is Judo), then you have arrived at the doorstep of Master Bill Winkler, who has held multiple state championship titles, trained with the U.S. Olympic team and teaches this elegant yet effective and prestigious martial art under the tutelage of former U.S. Olympic team coach and Grand Master of this school, Grand Master Rho. This particular school proudly has turned out multiple state champions of different ages from young to older, in both sparring and the elegant yet precise Taekwondo art of choreographed forms called Poomsae. What is exciting about learning this art of Poomsae here is that Master Suzanne Winkler, who prides herself on keeping up to date with the latest with Korea’s mandates for this particular art, is also a national referee in competitive Poomsae. This school boasts of prestige in its lineage of Taekwondo. Anyone who is part of this honorable Taekwondo family will learn self defense, humility, safety, integrity, perseverance in achieving goals, self control, courtesy, and understand what it means to have an indomitable spirit in life. I’ve earned my First Degree Black Belt here and am working on achieving my Second Degree. I’m glad that I chose this school to learn many important life lessons from, to becoming an all around better person, in a school where people from all walks of life converge for fun and yet serious accomplishment. I’d never look for another place for any other martial art, because this is it. I’ve found my other family here.
