Love this place! Everything I’ve had to eat here has been great so far(I suggest the nachos for an appetizer, and check their weekly specials menu) 30+ Draft choices, and a very prompt friendly staff. We’ve been here on weekends, before sports games, and even just during the week to grab a few beers. It’s always a good time, 5 stars for me!

The menu here is my favorite. They cover so many things from risottos to traditional bar fare. And with chefs that have come from kitchens of places like Scape the burgers and wings are exceptional and noteworthy. My server was knowledgable and informative or I wouldn’t have ever thought to try a risotto at what I had originally believed to be a sports bar. We came back on a Saturday night and watched the restaurant we had eaten at earlier transform into an insanely fun nightclub. Definitely coming back!

At first, I was a little skeptical walking in, and now I’m sad to say the skepticism was due to the bad reviews I had read. Since then, I have voluntarily come in quite a few times because it’s just an awesome place. Portions are well fitting(don’t believe me, order the nachos), the staff is upbeat and down to earth, and the environment is super welcoming. Seriously people, come in and check this place out, don’t let people having a bad day and taking it out on Unilocal, deter you. Give this place a shot and I guarantee you’ll be back with friends! Lastly, on the weekends, if you’re an early riser, their brunch menu is creatively, delicious. I’ve only had the down south, but I’m coming in this weekend with a friend for 10 dollar bottomless mimosas and to try something new!

This place has it all… great food, great deals, the brunch and bottomless mimosas are fantastic but my fav is the bloody mary bar. staff is friendly and fast and the owners are awesome. Also love the many tvs so you can watch whatever team you want and the open space is inviting and roomy.

I haven’t actually tried the food but the service I received is worthy of 5 stars. I was 30 minutes early for interview nearby so I popped in to wait. I ordered an iced tea and visited with bartender. It was 3 in afternoon so slow. Enjoyed visiting and hearing about the establishment and then was told no charge for iced tea. Will definitely be back to try full meal due to the friendly service.

Somewhat cavernous and impersonal-feeling, but it’s close to work, there’s an enormous drink menu, and the happy-hour specials are decent.

Can’t comment on food I just came in for a fun dance night on saturday. I loved how I didn’t have to pay a cover for a club setting. The music I loved because at the time it was mostly hip hop. Long line but not a long wait. I would return if back in St louis.

Overall the experience was excellent. Nice environment, friendly staff and good food. The only negative is the up charge for substituting veggies for French fries. Healthy eating should be encouraged and I felt penalized.

Not only was the service pretty crappy but they declined my card. Woke up this morning to EIGHT charges for different amounts on my debit card from here(instead of the one hold). Had to cancel my card, I am out almost 200 dollars and waiting for my bank to process the fraudulent charges. Never coming back and will never recommend this place to anyone.

Love this place everytime I come here. Great atmosphere and wonderful servers. Today we had Taylor and Emily and it was nice how they had each other’s backs. Emily was our waitress but she also had a big top table with almost 12 people so Taylor would assist with anything we needed. Very clean restaurant and the food was wonderful!!! Thanks ladies!!!

The only reasons this place got two stars is: it’s located within walking distance of Busch Stadium and they have a ton of beer choices. Went for lunch and the service was terrible. The chicken fingers were so over cooked it was like chicken jerky. The food runner was a total jerk and acted like we were being an inconvenience for him to deliver our food.

I came here for the first time with my co-workers for lunch today. My co-workers stated it was a good place to eat. I had the Cobb salad, fried zucchini and portabella mushrooms, and fried jalapeños and pickles. The Cobb salad wasn’t anything special and it lacked bacon bites. The zucchini, mushrooms, jalapeños, and pickles had no flavor whatsoever. It wasn’t even remotely busy when we went, so I’m unsure why we had so many issues with our food orders. For example, one of my co-workers ordered a grilled cheese and they brought a burnt one out. Another co-worker order his burger medium, it was well-done. Another order his burger without cheese, it had cheese. Also, the fries came out very over done too. Not the best first time experience for me. More than likely I’ll try this establishment again to see if there is anything better on their menu. I’m sure this is a good bar, but it’s not a great eating establishment.

Tough giving this place four stars, because the service was iffy. We were one of maybe 4 patrons in the place for lunch. When I say tough, I mean, service was a 2, and food was a 4. The chili I had was very good, one of the best I’ve had in a downtown restaurant. The Mrs. had the BLAT sandwich, the sandwich was good, could’ve used a little more flavor from a chipotle mayo, garlic aioli. The fries she had, mostly went into the trash. When you have a wonderful hand cut fry like they have. why serve such soggy pieces of garbage on the plate? Double fry method would help keep these fries out of the trash, maybe even turn up the heat on the fryer. I had the Philly Wit, very good, bread was as expected for a good Philly sandwich. We’ll probably give this place another try, but probably won’t frequent it. The service, from the hostess who seemed less personable than a piece of wood, to the server that stared blankly as he walked by us several times(my credit card on the table, signifying it’s time to leave, for 20 minutes)… Hopefully next time we come, it will be a winner. Cliff notes: Good chefs, not so good service.

Great staff and a wonderful location before heading to a game! Food was good, had the buffalo chicken mac n cheese. I’d chose something different next time, but good experience overall. Very reasonable price($ 33 for two adults and a child) as well as wonderful service.

Went in for brunch on Sunday and had a great experience! My server, Kelly, was hands down the best waitress I’ve ever encountered. The $ 5 Bloody Mary bar was worth every penny. Best Bloody Mary I’ve had outside of Mexico. The Wheelhouse burrito was delicious, but bring your appetite because it is HUGE! Came with a side of fresh fruit. If you’re looking for a casual brunch spot with drinks: this is the place to be! I also noticed great drink specials throughout the week. I’ll be back!

We went there after a hockey game. Most people were standing around with drinks but we joined friends at a table. The waitress finally appeared and suggested that maybe we should just go to the bar and get drinks because she would be getting off in another hour or so. We finally convinced her to take our drink order. She clearly didn’t want to be bothered with waiting on us. Only after we’d paid did we discover that they charged us an additional $ 3 per glass for ice in our drinks. We wanted to eat but the kitchen was closed. The sinks are outside the restrooms and in clear view of the bar. That’s just weird. The whole place has a dark, warehouse feel to it. Rude server + Expensive ice +Icky bathrooms = My last visit to the Wheelhouse.

First time here, and haven’t heard much about them before showing up. Nice atmosphere, good bar, and quick service. Pretty much a standard menu for this type of place, but sufficient for just going out to grab a bite to eat.

–1,000,000 stars. I was in town for a concert and my friends brought me to this bar. I was hanging out on th patio when a young lady sat next to me bleeding from her calf… So as a doctor I immediately asked her if she was ok. What happened next was terrifying and unbelievable. I was literally lifted out of my seat by A bouncer who took offense to my attempt to help the bleeding female. For reasons I don’t understand, he began screaming at me that I am not a physician, and the more I tried to explain that I was just trying to help… the more violent he became. I didn’t fully grasp how dangerous the situation was until I was airborne and suddenly on the pavement gasping for air. I have no idea why their bouncer attacked me, but I figured that I would warn others to be cautious. Especially here.
