VanElla Studios is a one of a kind, boutique style school and event space that is inspired by all things burlesque, vaudeville, music hall, circus, and anything beautiful, glittery and theatrical.

Owned by international burlesque star Lola van Ella, and staffed by some of the most experienced, professional performers in St. Louis; classes at VanElla Studios offer a fun and sexy experience and a comprehensive education on a variety of subjects.

History

Established in 2010.

Van Ella Studios and Productions was opened in 2010 by international and award winning burlesque dancer, singer and emcee Lola van Ella with a desire and passion to bring quality, professional, and spectacular stage shows, and boutique style, friendly and body positive education in all things burlesque, vaudeville, music hall and movement to the city of St. Louis. Since our doors have opened we’ve presented hundreds of acclaimed shows and have helped hundreds of fabulous ladies (and gents) have more confidence, learn new skills, and celebrate their own wonderful talents.

Business Owner

Lola van Ella is an international burlesque singer, dancer, producer, instructor and emcee. One of the premier names in burlesque, she performs frequently and produces many shows, including the international Show-​Me Burlesque Festival, the largest festival of its kind in the midwest, The Shimmy Showdown, Spectaculaire and is one of the producers of the lauded Beggar’s Carnivale. Lola is the CEO of Van Ella Productions and Studio, and often travels to bring the art of burlesque and striptease to different communities around the world. Alive Magazine named her one St. Louis’ most influential people and she has been written about and featured locally in St. Louis Magazine, Vital Voice, AOL Cities Best, the Riverfront Times, The Post Dispatch and KDHX. Recently, Lola van Ella made headlines as a featured presenter for the largest Tedx event in St. Louis.
