Tim Hortons Cafe & Bake Shop

Loved the doughnuts! The staff was super friendly! Location is a little funky with parking, but would still go back!

I was a little disappointed in Tim Horton’s. This review is for the doughnuts only. They do have breakfast and lunch sandwiches also. It is located in the Cortex area, so it is pretty dead on the weekend. Parking is a problem. If you can find a place on the street, consider yourself lucky. Their parking lot is located caddy-​corner from the shop and is fenced in so you have a bit of a walk ahead of you.
We chose the glazed, maple glazed, cinnamon bun, apple spiced jelly doughnut and a cherry Danish. I hate to say it but we were wondering if the doughnuts at Schnuck’s would have been better.
Would I go back? Not for the doughnuts but I would go to try one of their lunch sandwiches.

All Tim Hortons have good coffee, tasty pastries, and decent sandwiches. This TH is no different. My main complaint: it’s location.
I’m sure the people working at Barnes Jewish Commons are happy it’s here, but it’s not convenient for anyone else. It’s south of the metrolink line down Sarah (so not close to CWE) but north of the interstate (so not close to the Grove). The suggested parking is across an intersection in what looks like a no-man’s-land, and available street parking works for around ~9 cars (and that’s for all BJC along with TH). Maybe the location is also convenient for people leaving Ikea in the back roads, though it’s still not that easy of a walk from Ikea’s parking. I guess they’re assuming the area will blow up in the near future… maybe it will.
Regardless of that, the inside is nice. Plenty of room to sit with groups or by yourself; open windows and decent-​sized tables. The employees are really friendly but obviously still in training. Food and drink are good. I’m glad Tim Hortons is expanding in the region, I just hope they choose better locations hereon out.
