Description

Specialties

Gluten Free, Healthy Comfort Food, Baby and Bridal Showers, Private Events.

Going above and beyond what was traditionally thought of as «family-friendly» dining the Nest merges together indoor play spaces, childcare with health inspired, local, organic, and made-from-scratch deliciousness. You will not find any traditional flour in our kitchen (all of our on site baking is gluten free), you will not find processed chemicals, you will not find frozen chicken fingers. What you will find is a lot of love, a place to call home, and a real experience for you and your entire family. Food you can feel good about. An environment that truly caters to both children and the adults. This is The Nest.

The Nest offers full breakfast, lunch and dinner menus in addition to a coffee, juice and smoothie bar; indoor play space; on-site childcare room; and an educational space (The Perch — located on the second floor).

History

Established in 2013.

The mission of the Nest is to #BringBackFamily through the family dining experience. We at The Nest, believe that love is at center of family, and that love should be at the center of the hospitality experience we provide. While there have been many family-friendly dining establishments before us, we hope to offer an «experience» that far surpasses what people have come to associate with family-friendly dining. While pizza and burgers have been long standing staples for families that choose to dine out; we at The Nest have chosen to merge two concepts: fine dining and kid friendly dining. In meeting this goal there have been many challenges — as we are forging a path into territory not chartered before us.

Christina M.

Business Owner

After more than a decade of creating lasting memories for families through her roles as a Wedding Planner with St. Louis Wedding Consultants, co-founder of St. Louis Transplants, and event specialist for local hotels and event venues, McHugh dreamed up the vision for The Nest. Through her role as a working woman and mother to nine year old son Habi Baker, Christina realized there was a need to support women and mothers in a more authentic and community centered way and sought to create a safe, warm, and inviting space for women to do just that — Thus the birth of The Nest. Christina is an avid party planner, foodie, pretend photographer, adoption advocate, and dog lover. She resides in Webster Groves with her son, fiancé Craig Ceranna, and dogs Buddy and Jack. Christina credits the amazing, talented, and creative women friendships for inspiring The Nest and believes that women can get nowhere without their flock of hens.
