History

Established in 2006.

John Bubenik began painting in 1978. Throughout the years his interest in decorative finishes became his main focus, leading to courses in European plasters, troweled-​on cotton fibers, carvable cements, & many other fascinating finishes. All of these finishes eventually sparked the creation of The Color Craftsmen in 2006. Since then, a few more creative minds have been added to the team, allowing for an even broader range of finishes.

Business Owner

Formerly involved in the arts as a creator of stoneware, It was in 1978 that he began painting. In 1984, Mr. Bubenik commenced as a Sole Proprietor. In the late 1980s, he began working on projects that needed some degree of decorative refinishing, and he continued to increase that activity over the next several years: using paint to duplicate the look of wood grain or marble, installing unique textured wallcoverings from Europe, and solving a variety of design problems with paint. In 2006, Mr. Bubenik was engaged on client projects that led to the decision to transition to decorative work as the primary focus of his enterprise, resulting in the establishment of John Bubenik, Color Craftsman LLC.
