Since Tower Grove Park — which isn’t a «business’ exactly is on Unilocal,I feel like this skate park should be on here as well… I actually didn’t even know this existed, until I was doing some UrbEx and wanted to check underneath the South Kingshighway Bridge(this is the bridge by the Pub and Railroad tracks, the one that’s CLOSEST to the Hill and Tower Grove Park — NOT the one right by Barnes) Anyhoo, there are some pretty great things to skate on. Apparently(after some research) local skaters did it all by hand. pouring concrete, creating bowls, etc. Pretty rad. Very urban. There were maybe 5 skaters there when I went earlier today(to snag pictures) and one homeless guy. The skaters were actually all from out of town. I think it’s pretty rad for what it is — a free urban/industrial skate park. Obviously not super fancy, super clean, etc. But worth a visit if you skate or are interested in urban art(aka graffiti). It’s clearly only going to last until they finally demolish and rebuild that bridge, but some Kickstarter project has already taken care of funding another new free park(not yet built)
