I went to savvy formalwear today and had the best experience. I was a little nervous about ordering text tuxedos for my upcoming wedding. I made an appointment and the manager Jim helped me today. He was completely outstanding very professional I made the whole experience so pleasant. I will definitely recommend my friends & family to Delmar Savvi. Even if you don’t live to Delmar Jim makes it worth the drive.

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience with this place, I recommend it anyone looking for a tux.

I rarely write reviews, but I want to warn others to go elsewhere to rent a suit.
Service:
I rented a tux here for my friend’s wedding along with 7 other groomsman. Out of the 8 tuxedos we rented, only 5 were matching. The other 3 each had different shirts. The order was placed months in advance.
When we picked them up, we noticed the different shirts, but the salesperson said we’d have to wait until tomorrow to get a replacement. We explained this wasn’t possible because the wedding was tomorrow. They offered no solution, so we paid for our mismatched tuxes.
Product Quality:
The suits were made of low-​quality fabric and fit very loose even though we were all measured in the store. I thought that since I was renting a tuxedo, I would receive nice, shiny, patent leather shoes, but the shoes looked like they were purchased from Wal-​Mart and hurt everyone’s feet.
Our tuxes cost $ 165, so I’m not sure if higher priced ones would be better quality, but for $ 165 I feel like I was ripped off. Either way, the incompetence at this business should be enough to stay away.

I took my son here for a tuxedo for prom, the service was great and the tux was a perfect fit. There were several styles and colors to choose from and everything was ready for pick up within a few days. Overall it was a completely painless process and we were both happy customers!

I needed a tuxedo for the SLU Barrister’s Ball, and was referred here by the event coordinator since they agreed to give a $ 40 discount to the attendees. Now, I hadn’t rented a tuxedo since my senior year of high school, but I had an idea in my head that it should cost somewhere around $ 60 or $ 70 after the discount I’d be getting. Instead, my total came to $ 130. AFTER the discount. And I even saved $ 10 by not renting shoes. I have no idea what the reasoning behind this price is, since my tuxedo was pretty basic and didn’t have any «extras» that I could identify. I mean, a quick google search told me after the fact that there are plenty of tuxes available in the $ 70-​$ 100 range sooooo…
The customer service at this location left something to be desired too. Overall it wasn’t that bad, but when I went to pick up my tux I specifically asked the manager if I was being given the black buttons and cufflinks (since they weren’t on the shirt when I picked it up) and he said yes. Lo and behold I get home and unwrap everything and I don’t have them. So yeah, I had to make an extra trip back the day of the event.
The guy that helped me place my order at the west county mall location was very helpful. All the same, I’ll probably use another service the next time I need a tux.

The customer service at this store gets a strong 4. We had a wedding to attend and Brad recently has added a few pounds to his his frame. (He’s given me permission to tell this story) So instead of going out and buying a new suit, when we know the weight is coming off, we opted to rent a suit for the evening. We did our research and found Savvi to be the closest one to home to fulfill our needs.
When we arrived at the store the gentleman working was a true professional, he could size Brad by just looking at him. He would say what the size would be and then proved himself right with the measuring. The selection for suits is not as vast as tuxedos, but a simple black suit is just what we needed for a late afternoon wedding.
Brad picked up the suit the day before the wedding and he looked rather dapper with his own shirt, tie and shoes. Brad’s best friend was so glad we came to see her youngest son marry his sweetheart. It was after the wedding that all hell broke lose, or should I say the waistband on the rented suit broke.
We actually made it to the reception and were seated at our table for dinner, when Brad started to feel the difference in the trousers. The adjustable waistband on both sides were totally shot. We tried to fix them, but had no luck. He couldn’t walk without them starting to fall down, the only thing we could do was leave.
I am better in a crisis situation then Brad is and he’ll admit it. As we left the reception hall Brad was on the phone to Savvi telling them the situation. He was one pissed off customer. He could not believe he was going to have to miss this reception and what would his friend think of us leaving. While driving I see a Casey’s Store, keep in mind we are out in rural Illinois and pulled in hoping they’d have what I need. See that review for that part of story. They totally rocked.
I get safety pins from one of the girls at Casey’s and fix the pants so we can return to the reception. We make it back before the bridal party and no one is the wiser to the drama. Who are you kidding, the story was too funny not to share.
When we returned the suit, they did not give a full refund like the girl on the phone said, but they did give a 50% discount. Even after they examined the pants and admitted they were totally unwearable.
