Dr. Mainhurst was born in Los Angeles, California and received his Bachelor of Science degree at UCLA in 1978. He then moved to St. Louis to attend Washington University School of Dental Medicine and recieved the degree of Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) in 1982. After a four-year tour of duty in the National Health Service Corps in Rockford, Illinois, he returned to St. Louis to establish his private practice. Most recently, he earned the award of Master of the Academy of General Dentistry (MAGD), one of dentistry’s most prestigious awards.
