Pheasant Run Apartments

If I could give lower stars I would!!! Where do I start, I’ll start with this upon first entering the apartment complex you notice a pretty decent neighborhood great school district and not too shabby looking outside appearance with what could be a nice lake (they keep it very filthy) included on property. I’m sad to say that’s where it STOPS! You know the old saying everything that glitters is not gold well let’s just say that’s true for pheasant run apartments! I have been here for 5 – 6 months and it’s been one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a landlord or apartment complex in my life! When I first moved to STL I look at a lot of places. And I know a couple places that was really nice but I worked closer to here. My first introduction to the apartments was a property leasing agent by the name Melissa. I don’t know if that day was a bad day but it wasn’t a friendly welcoming, to say the least. But I didn’t want to allow one person to make the whole company a bad apple. Next I met Ebony, she was VERY helpful showed me the properties again because Melissa showed me unfinished ones that was being worked on from folks freshly moving out of (bad idea). Ebony asked a lot of questions and made me want to move here. I specifically asked about maintenance issues before moving in and she assured me that they were really on it (THEY DEFINITELY NOT, THE WORST) and I asked for an updated renovated unit which I was told would be available when I moved in. I was happy with that and went ahead filled out a application an put the deposit down. Thinking I’m getting what I asked for, when I was finally contacted after few weeks, I was informed the unit was ready and all good to go. I never received a walk thru of the apartment before I was giving the 2B/​2Ba with lake view! Needless to say they assured me that it was fully renovated and to my liking. When I walked it it wasn’t what I was promised at all! Old stove, frig, bathroom looked unfinished. You could tell a rush job was done. But I needed a place to stay badly and they assured me that it’ll be fixed by time my furniture from California got here! Well let’s see it’s been 5 – 6 months and the things umpteen things I had on my checklist: like the leaky ceiling when it rains making ugly water marks which I’ll try to upload, leaking master bathroom I couldn’t use till last month, dishwasher was fix 2 months ago, they painted over holes in doors and walls VERY UNPROFESSIONAL LOOKING (one door was white and doors where brown)!! When brought to management attention they will loose ⁹⁄₁₀ repair tickets each time telling you a different story that they’re going to get on it now. Classic case of the right hand not knowing what the left hand is doing! They’re under new management now and boy does she have her work cut out for her! But she is definitely trying Katie is great! She will do as she states of the message ever gets to her. Lastly, they have this towing company that comes around a tow cars for crazy reasons! They tow my truck causing me to miss work because they said I was parked in a unmarked handicap space! Then tried to charge me 400.00 dollars for a improperly marked handicap sign! But Katie did fix this matter, but it cost me money from new job almost getting fired as I was in training and couldn’t miss a day! The tow company messed up my truck rims and I’m stuck with needing a new rim at my expense!
So in conclusion if it’s YOUR LAST RESORT of living and you need a place to stay… then I say DONT DO IT EVEN THE… move with a friend or relative it’ll pay off in the end. I haven’t had one good month yet here!
P.s I was told rent included electric it’s even marked on my lease and they said it’s not true and the electric company back billed me for it!

These apartments are the worst!!! RUN IF YOU CAN! They have an agent named Melissa that is rude as ever and hates her job so she doesn’t like to answer your questions. She will cut you off quick in mid sentence and reply to your questions like your dumb for asking. Personally I can’t rent from someone who feels I can’t ask questions or have a bad attitude. I called corporate to tell them my experience and I wanting on a call back.

School district its the only plus. This apartments have the worse administration and maintenance department that you could ever have in you worse nightmares. I been requesting service for 6 months to have a door fixed. I talked to everyone, even the manager came and still nobody came to fix a simple door. Appliances are outdated the dishwasher doesn’t drain, maintenance comes empties it and leave, so every time i use it, they have to come, since they got tired (i guess) they just wait a week or 2 to come and drain it. I won’t recommend anyone move to this apartments. Find a place were they respect their tenants.

Have lived in several apartments and I have never wanted out of a lease so bad. Been without hot water and a working dishwasher since we moved in. Had a front door that wouldn’t lock that took months for them to fix. We have filled out several maintenance reports but it does not seem to matter. I would highly reconsider signing a lease!
