Pet Sitters, Inc provides exceptional care for pets who are truly a member of the family. No need to place your pet in a kennel when you travel!

You place your pet in a private home while you are away. After a 10 minute phone interview, we will have you place your pet in one of the 50 carefully selected homes to live as the sitter’s house pet when you travel. We would turn your pet down rather than place it in the wrong home. So, if your pet is used to sleeping on the bed at night, we will match your pet with a home where it would be welcomed on the bed. We encourage you to take your pet and meet the sitter first!

Pet Sitters, Inc. was founded by Janet McCann who has owned and operated it since 1982.

Business Owner

Janet McCann has a Master’s degree from Washington University, and many years of dog-​related experience including the training and placement of dogs for physically challenged people, obedience training and showing, AKC conformation and behavior problem solving.

Janet was asked to help write the regulations for licensing of pet sitting services by the Missouri Department of Agriculture. Pet Sitters is licensed by the Department of Agriculture and is a long time member of the Better Business Bureau.
