Meatloaf and pork steaks, chili and french fries, chicken nachos and buffalo chicken dip. These are a few of my favorite things. Can’t wait to see how the rehab turns out.

Nadine’s is great. We’ve been there about 5 or 6 times. EXCELLENT service for everyone. regardless. Enjoy this place as a classic Soulard stop. Understand«classic». You will enjoy your visit. Good food, good service, good beer! Enjoy.

It’s a decent place, right in the heart of Soulard. Haven’t been here that many times but they seem to do a respectable business and they have their regulars. I ate here once with friends and it the food was pretty good.(I had the Blue Cheese Burger and Fries plus Clam Strips for an appetizer!)

It’s a pretty basic bar with decent food. They have a cool patio area that usually has a good vibe on summer days. The inside seems a bit dingy. And for some reason I think about the fries when I think of Nadine’s. They are thick cut and done pretty well. So that’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

This was a place we just happen to stumble apon, they are located in soulard and are very good for a little hole in the wall place, they have an all you can eat Fish platter, it was homemade the breading was awesome too. I really enjoyed it, although there were people smoking in the place which i did not care for because it made it really smoky but over all great service and great food!

So I met a friend here for the first time, just to check it out. We like to try new places but didn’t realize it’s a smoking establishment. The friend in question has lung damage from Iraq and he can’t be around smoke. After walking in and being greeted by a random woman, he stated to me that he can’t stay here because the smoke was too thick. This«random» woman must have been Nadine because she started railing on him about the government telling her what to do, that we were jerks for bringing it up the thick smoke and went on and on. Needless to say, we left. If this is how Nadine treats customers, I don’t know how she stays in business. I’m ok with smokers but she went off the deep end and should be ashamed of her childish behavior, especially towards a vet. Go somewhere else.

I came here tonight… Again. I love this bar for so many reasons. Food, great drinks and fantastic service. What really takes this bar to the next level is dependent on one person. If Todd isn’t the one assisting you, come back until he is. He is the definition of genuine service. I’ll come back over and over again to be treated right thanks to Todd.

Staff seems drunk, the place just feels dated and dirty. Nothing really great on the menu which would be ok to have average food if it was really cool with great staff but it was none of the above.

How does a «gin joint» not have an extensive cocktail list? They are totally missing the boat by having a name like that it implied to me that was their specialty… We sat outside on Saturday night, it was nice and quiet. I ordered the fish, it was a really nice portion cooked well and tasted great. Wife had some kind of salad which was just ok. We were probably over dressed and expecting more, but this would be a fine dive bar to just drink a beer… They should change the name though.

We went with friends last night to celebrate a birthday. Nadine’s is a place we frequent when in Soulard. It’s got a good vibe, comfortable, affordable. Our service was good, as always. Our waitress was Stacey(ie?)…nice job looking after us. I must admit this was my first time trying the fried fish. It was Damn good! Nice breading, great tasting pollack, fried just right and nicely complimented with some creamy coleslaw… perfect. My buddy ordered the same meal and raved about the fish. He told me he woke up this morning thinking about the fish. Kudos to the two cooks Sunday night for good work… top notch. We’ll of course go back to NGJ… for beer and fish!

Hey everyone! This is a great Soulard place. Real neighborhood feel to it. Not like the snobby other places down there. This is where locals hang out which is a + in my book. We love the food and Todd the bartender is always friendly as well as the rest of the staff. If you aren’t a local but like a warm welcoming feel this is the place. And if your a local and haven’t been there put it on your list.

Well, Nadine’s has great atmosphere and some decent prices. My beef is with Nadine herself, we used to go often but kept finding hair in our food during a family breakfast there. When we brought this to Nadine she accused us of lying to get free food. After we told her we insist on paying for everything, and just thought she should know, she continued to accuse us of lying. We did pay for everything, which is fine we would have anyway, but won’t go anymore due to her lack of professional character.

I came to this bar, was inside for a total of five minutes before some random girl I’ve never seen or talked to before walked up and punched me in the face. I am also a girl and didn’t expect this, as I had done nothing. Obviously, I wanted to leave and asked the bouncers for my cover back, telling them I had walked in five minutes before, was punched in the face, and wanted to leave. They refused to give me my $ 5 cover back, said it was too bad that I got punched but it happened«all the time.» Girls punching other girls randomly should not be a regular occurrence at any bar. The staff did not respond appropriately at all. No one should come to this bar, unless you want to be punched in the face, because apparently it happens all the time here.

Cool beer garden. Don’t really care for the inside or gin or the kind of ppl gin attracts. Seems like the older people that go there are pretty smug and in love with thinking they’re better than everyone. (not all the people, but most)

Another discovery through the Taste Cards I bought on LivingSocial. I had no idea I was going to discover so many new restaurants when I bought these cards. This adventure took us down to Soulard to visit a gin joint, Nadine’s Gin Joint. We stopped in for lunch on a Tuesday so it was kind of slow, only a few other tables out on the patio and us on the inside. When using a Taste Card, I always let the server know up front during the meet & greet. I feel it is only fair that they know we are using a coupon. Like most Taste Cards Nadine’s offer is $ 10 off of $ 30, no booze. We started out by enjoying an order of Blackened Chicken Nachos. It was a nice twist to the traditional ground beef nachos. It had large pieces of blackened chicken, Monterrey jack cheese sauce, tomatoes and chives over corn tortilla chips. I would of liked some jalapenos tossed in the cheese sauce for an extra kick. Normally we order different entrees, but today we both were craving a burger. I ordered the traditional cheeseburger with pepper jack cheese and the bf enjoyed a Chorizo Burger. The Chorizo burger was suppose to be a mix of chorizo and ground beef, but you could barely taste the Chorizo. His came with pepper jack, red onion & mayo and he requested tomato and lettuce as well. When our burgers arrived, they forgot the additional garnishes. The burgers were hand pressed, meaty and juicy. Both were grilled to our medium rare request. I was happy with my simple cheese only burger and the hand cut french fries. I liked that the fries were extra crispy and we didn’t have to request them that way. Also, those that know me well, know that I love it when a restaurant serves ketchup in little cups instead making me use a bottle on the table. I plan to return to try their clams, I’ve heard great things and Erin’s picture makes them look so good.

it’s a small world after all— sort of stumbled upon this place on a Saturday morn/afternoon and wanted to start getting my game on —I had longtime friends visiting from Minnie-snow – tah and it was KISMET that we wound up here. We went in and ordered a bloody mary with beer chaser(it was still pretty early) and our fabulous waitress was funny and welcoming. As we visited with her we found our she too had lived right up in MN were we all lived at one time… what a great connection. This place was a good neighborhood bar with a bit of a dive like feel just how I like em. The music playing was top-notch…and the crowd seemed to all be there for the same thing as me… I will return…

I’m adding a 5th star because in addition to south city’s greatest BLT they now feature the city’s tastiest chicken quesadilla! It’ll definitely ruin any diet plan you hoped to maintain but that bad boy is friggin’ delicious! If you’re into something a little more hearty, the meatloaf will change your life. Truly a whole new level of indulgence!

Nadine’s always keeps me coming back. We frequent here for drinks, laughs and playing some good music on Touch Tunes. Always a great crowd there and the bartenders are ABSOLUTELY amazing. They are so friendly and attentive. The outdoor patio is spacious and a great place to soak in the summer weather while sipping on a Summer Shandy. They have some good bar food as well. The Artichoke Hearts appetizer is spot on. If you are looking for a neighborhood type bar that has a friendly atmosphere while in Soulard, give Nadine’s a try. She will not disappoint!

The food was not bad for a bar, pretty typical actually. With that being said apparently this place derives most of its revenue from alcohol so it’s a smoking establishment. Due to this I’ll never go back as it is so small some guy playing the golf game kept bumping into our table. The spinach and artichoke dip was a nice surprise. Probably the most interesting I’ve had in St. Louis with some loose leaves on the top of the dip. But aside from that it was very lackluster. In fact I will never recommend this place unless I know the person is a smoker. Pros: Cheap food & nice wait staff Cons: Cigarette smoke, small, nothing special about the place.

Neighborhood bars are always the best places to visit! Nadine’s is a Soulard spot which I am glad I have been exposed to. While visiting during a week night might be a good idea, I typically visit on weekends. The crowd is never too crazy and even on a Saturday night I was able to find a spot. The service was good and the drinks were fine. Ordering a bucket of beer is the way to go! While sitting and enjoying the conversation it was also fun to watch a group of guys play darts! The only down-side to Nadine’s is that smoking is allowed, but I’ll admit it wasn’t too smoky when I was there. I’ll definitely be back.
