McMahon Ford

Expensive and lacking in customer service. I’ve now visited both of their shops there and was rather let down with each encounter. Do better.

DO NOT BUY FROM MCMAHON. Terrible terrible terrible used cars. The car I have from them breaks down every 5 minutes. The car will shake uncontrollably and will stop in the middle of the road. I Have to find back roads to get back home because it is much to dangerous to drive on hwys. It will stop 20 times before I can fully drive it without stopping. I am scared to death of it. Plus they overcharged me.

Called and made a service appointment two weeks ago. Spent a good 10 minutes on the phone, giving their employee a list of things that needed to be done /​looked at. I’m not a car person — understatement of the century — so I was basically reading from a list that my husband had prepared: he’s traveling for business so I was charged with taking care of what should have been a fairly routine, 50K mile service visit, with a few minor additional issues.
Arrived at McMahon this morning per my appointment.
Snafu #1: pulled into the service bay, waited in line, only to have the gentleman at the service desk tell me we’re not in their system for an appointment, and that I probably need to go to the OTHER service building. ??? Yes, they have two — the one off Fyler is for «major repairs» only; apparently, my service visit would be from the «quick service» building around the corner. OK, back in the car, and around the corner I go.
Snafu #2: waited in line, and again, they don’t have us in their system as having an appointment today. This gentleman offered to «try and fit it in» — thanks but no thanks, that’s why I made an appointment; I want to be reasonably sure that I’ll have the car back by the end of the day, not wait until they can fit it in. By this time, it was getting late, so I left.
I would like to review their actual service, but maybe next time. The hubs will be back in town and I’ve told him it is his turn to deal with it. If anyone can recommend another Ford dealership service department in the city, hit me up, I’m all ears.

I just bought a 2015 Fusion from McMahon and I had a great experience! They were very helpful and easy to contact throughout the whole process. My salesman was Paul Sturma (314−306−6795) I would recommend him to anyone in the market for a used car!

I received a very serious looking letter early this year in the mail that seemed to be important tax documents for a former occupant of the house. It had a warning on the front and back stating that opening the federal mail of another was a serious offense. After returning it to the mail it was redelivered and it was noted that this was for «or current occupant». They sent out a mailer at tax time disguised as a W-​2 form. That is the kind of shady and predatory marketing that makes me never want to come to your business and go out of my way (in the form of this lengthy review) to warn others away.

the best… all i can say. ike bibas, the best manager. if you see him. bottom line you will be happy with your purchase… also this dealer has great owners as well. john schicker and his dad bill schicker. simply great people… thank you.

Worst experience ever! (All of the «salesmen» from the pre-​owned portion treat you like a bag of shit. They still have my $ 500 deposit. They told me they would have a check ready for me… that’s was a week ago. I went to Bo Beuckman instead and it was like night and day. They treated me 50x the respect these jerk-​offs did. That’s probably why I spent $ 4,000 more on a car from there instead of here. Kindness and respect pays off. Do not buy a car from these people.

I had a slow leak in one of my tires and had replaced it twice (elsewhere) in one year, yet it was still leaking. McMahon diagnose that it was a wheel issue. I got a new wheel and haven’t had a problem since! That was thru the Quick Lane without an appointment. I’m very happy with the service here.

I had a flat tire, they fit me in quickly, changed the tire, coordinated the tire are plan payment, and got me on my way. Good fast service.

Hard to say if they offer good service or not.
At 11 AM on a Monday morning I attempted to get service from McMahan Ford. I parked on the street, and walked into the service bay to ask about getting my Freestar serviced. There was only one car in the service line, and no customers around. All service employees seemed busy behind the desk. I walked to the closest person who was typing on his computer. I waited for him to look up from his computer.
Eventually he looked up and said, «Can I help you?»
I began to describe my concerns, but within 3 seconds, he was looking back at his computer and typing again.
I paused and waited for him to acknowledge me. Finally he realized I wasn’t talking, and looked up. I continued, but within 3 seconds he was typing again. I paused again. He finally looked up. I started to continue, but he went back to typing.
Clearly he showed no interest in what I had to say, so I quietly apologized for bothering him and turned and walked away. He made no attempt to stop me. The sum total of 4 words he spoke to me were evidently rhetorical. No, evidently he was unable to help me.
I was about to pull away from the curb when I saw another employee walking by. I stopped to ask if there was anyone in the service department who could offer some help. She told me to talk to the service manager, then described the man who had just ignored me. I thanked her and drove away.

my experience could have been better. my vehicle and myself could have been given more respect. vehicle should have been there only 2 days, it’ s been 10 and has to go back again.
a heart felt appology would have been nice.
its halloween i’d like to share my nightmarish experience: had 3 small issues a bad rear window switch, they mis diagnosed it, replaced the entire back window, turned out to be the switch, put the original window back in damaging it in the process and needed to go back again for a new window, they tried to resell me the one that had been put in and tore out the first time. did eventually get done.
tires out of balance, they tried the road force balance it did not help. they replaced the tires and during this proedure they gouged 2 of my rims and scratched the paint on my front bumper. eventually got new rims and bumper painted.
stripped out bolt on bed extender drivers side, they replace the passenger side the first trip, put the stripped out bolt back in the second trip, went to a body shop the 3^rd trip to get a nut welded in place of the factory nutsert. the service manager led people involved with repairs to believe i was unreasonable and expected perfection on my brand new truck. all this happened when the truck had only 2,000 miles on it and i had not even made my first payment on it.
the service manager looked me in the eye and told me it is only a truck and i need to let it go.
go I did. I took my business else where.

Worst experience ever wouldn’t recommend to my worst enemy

Really enjoyed working with Mike the sales person. He was fair and reasonably quick working out our deal. Mark in finance got the paperwork done fast. We did have to Waite for a little while, but not that long.

DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM HERE!!! I bought used, so I cannot speak of their process for selling new cars, but buying my 2012 Ford Edge was by far the worst experience I have had with a company.
The sales guy was great, however I was planning to pay cash and they refused to take almost anything off for that reason. I fell in love with the car though and it was still a decent price.
My horrible experience happened with the financing person. Even though we were paying cash he was the person we were sent to to close the deal and finish the paperwork. Well he made a mistake in the paperwork and we ended up making the checks out for $ 2,000 less than what was agreed upon with the salesman. I even asked the guy ‘Are you sure that’s the price?’ And he assured me that it was I had never bought a car before, so I assumed they ended up accepting the price I originally offered. He even told me how much to make the checks out for (I used 2 separate checks to pay).
The next day was a holiday weekend so that Monday we got a call from him saying that there was an error in our paperwork and we needed to come back. He actually called us a few times since we did not answer the first (we were working).
We went in and the man basically called me a liar and said that we owed them more money. I asked to speak with the manager and he told me he was the manager (he was not). After causing a bit of a scene because he refused to let me speak with a manager, the manager must have heard me, sent the guy out of the office and we were able to speak in private. The manager was very nice and apologetic about the whole situation.
I had no problem with the car, the salesman or the manager. The the finance guy was horrible and completely turned me off from buying from McMahon ever again. I feel sorry for any future customers who have to deal with this man.

Let me save you your time and hassle and tell you upfront. DO NOT PURCHASE A CAR FROM MCMAHON FORD. New or used. I bought a 2010 escape from them in June which was a complete junker. Actually after the eighth service trip on it I attempted to trade it in and this dealer quoted me the lowest trade in value out of ten dealers because they knew they had sold me a piece of crap. Turns out the vehicle had actually been in an accident before and they provided me with a fraudulent carfax. To make up for the trouble they gave me a good deal on a 2014 escape. MISTAKE. Today will be the second time I’ve brought it in for computer issues. I bought it in February. They gave me the biggest junker you’ve ever seen to drive around in until it’s complete. Save your time. Save your money. Go to Honda or Kia.

I thought buying a car from a dealer was better than buying from a private seller. That the car would be more reliable and if there were problems with the car, the dealer would stand behind his product. That was not the case with the car that we bought from this dealer. Several problems came up after the purchase and they would not provide any assistance. Word of caution to future car buyers.

Rick made visiting this dealership a great amount of fun; no pressure, smiling the entire time, trying hard to cater to all my needs. This was very pleasant.
However, they do not have a large lot of new cars, although you can order them from the manufacture (which you can do at any ford dealership). Also, they do not offer the same great deals on oil changes (for $ 20) that I consistently find in the newspaper like Bommarito.
Overall, this is a great dealership.

I can’t speak for the new car side but I bought a pre owned almost brand new car here. It’s a 2013 model. While my actual sales guy was great, the rest of the experience was awful. They gave us a loaner car while ours was getting ready that was so dirty and disgusting. Overall I bought the car there because it was the car I wanted but I would not recommend this place to anyone. But I will
be finding another dealer for service.

I have had the pleasure of dealing with McMahon Ford for several years. I purchased my first car from them back in 2007 and another in 2010, they have been friendly and worked with me on my trade in, actually they were able to get me right what I was expecting. I have to say that my most recent sales rep, Lavon, was great, she was a pleasure to work with and I plan on returning to her sometime in the future to hopefully upgrade to an Edge.
The Quick Lane service department is also great, I rather deal with them over Dobbs and prices are very competitive for quick preventative maintenance and service. The employees are friendly and service has always been great. I look forward to working with McMahon in the future.
