Absolutely the best in the business. Coldest night of the year last night and today my blower went out. Matheny Heating and Cooling was here within 20 minutes of my call. The tech was professional, friendly, and reassuring. He came out at 7:00 pm because he was concerned about the temps dropping throughout the night. There is no one else I would call.

I live in my childhood home. I use Matheny Heating & Cooling because our family has used them for at least 30 years. I have a maintenance contract with Matheny so my Furnace and A/C are serviced annually. I’ve never needed a repair because they keep them in excellent condition. The Repair Techs are knowledgeable and professional. The customer service is excellent. They are always on time. I highly recommend Matheny.

My furnace was only blowing cool air and of course on a Saturday night, so we called Matheny first thing Monday morning,(the week of Christmas might I add) and they told us 1 hour and someone would be here– it was only 45 min. The service man got the problem fixed and even showed my husband how to prevent the problem from occurring again very soon and was on his way– AND it didn’t break the bank. Thanks Matheny

I had to have them out yesterday. Air was blowing, but not cold. Thermostat was registering 4 degrees above the designated temperature. I thought it was a Freon thing. I always think it’s the cheapest resolution. It was kinda late on Friday, and I wasn’t going to live through a weekend of hot in the house. When I called, she took my info and the situation, put me on hold for a very short time, and then came back saying someone would be there in 30 – 45 minutes. HOLYCOW! And that’s when Bob arrived. The motor was out. Groaning and groaning. It’s outside. I can’t hear that. And I don’t go check that. Bob gave me a new motor and on top of that did my fall inspection for the furnace, and I’m good to go when it gets cold. Changed out the filter and performed other appropriate seasonal checks. Spectacular service. Amazing people. Bob is good. He knows his stuff. He’s been in the business for a long time.

Needed to replace the 20 year old unit that heats/cools our second floor. A major task, as the unit is in the attic and only access is through a ceiling fan that must be removed. Labor intensive job and it is crazy hot in the attic. Matheny’s Estimator(Jason): On time, technically knowledgeable and thorough. Clear explanations with options. Fair price and advised us of a $ 500 Ameren rebate(not all installers qualify to provide this as we found out from other bids). Matheny’s Installation team(Led by Jake): On time, friendly and competent. Kept us posted throughout the day with progress and potential issues. Great attention to detail and took extra time to really clean up. Finished on schedule and on budget. Jake gets an A+. Bottom Line: Highest recommendation. Professional, competent and friendly. Their go-to product is American Standard; highest on many consumer rankings; and that was also a plus for us.

Wow, can’t say enough nice things about Matheny Heating and Cooling. First off: 1) I had Ricotta Heating and Cooling come to my house first to check out my AC unit that wasn’t working. Ricotta recommending replacing the WHOLEUNIT which is less than ten years old. Ricotta didn’t check the warranty on the unit and didn’t offer alternatives 2) Matheny checked to see what we can repair under warranty without me doing any of the leg work 3) Worked with HOA to schedule the necessary accessed 4) Worked the logistics with tenants of my townhouse 5) Constantly kept my up to date by either phone or email Can’t say enough good things about their professionalism, knowledge of the AC/heating units, knowledge of the industry, and overall cost. Will never look at using another company as the problem with my AC was a bad fan which cost a couple of hundred dollars versus the $ 3000 that Ricotta quoted me without any alternatives.
