They did an AMAZING job on our wedding cake!!! They helped us pick out the right cake flavors with fillings, and OH MY!!! DELICIOUS!!!

This review is based on their cookies and customer service. I will never order from them again. I have always been a be fan of McArthurs but this experience validated why. I work for an international company and needed 600 cookies for a big event. I understand that at almost $ 2 a cookie that is a lot of money but when I am trying everything I can to get you paid before the event I expect some wiggle room. I had $ 750 of it paid for when I was told they would not be delivering my order. This was after I was told they would call me back 4 times in the last week with how much the total was and with confirmation on the order. We gave them almost 2 weeks notice with this order. There is not one reason they should call 2 hours before delivery saying that they are not delivering anything since they don’t have their final $ 200.
Now for their customer service. They lost the order at least 2 times. Anytime I would call them they would «take a message» and I would never receive a call back. When I would talk to the customer service lady that was handling my order she was rude and beyond short with me every time. If I would try to ask a question she would cut me off and refuse anything I said.
Cookies, taste was average. I probably could have easily gotten the same thing from Walmart for half the price. They were decorated nice I will admit.
If my life depended on it I don’t know that I would order from them again. Thank you for ruining a company wide Christmas party, and congratulations for losing quite a large chunk of business. I will be sure to never refer you to anyone!

Such great customer service and amazing cupcakes! I had planned to bake cupcakes for an event today and at the very last minute I wasn’t able to bake them. I checked on Unilocal for «best cupcakes» and called a nearby business that doesn’t bake but sells baking supplies. They referred me to Lubbeley’s. I called and said I needed 9 cupcakes, white or vanilla, with teal icing to pickup right away. They didn’t have the teal but they packed up 9 vanilla cupcakes with white frosting & Christmas sprinkles. I went over 30 minutes later and they were all ready to go… and for only $ 11! So happy with them

This is my new favorite bakery! The atmospher is homey and the staff os absolutely friendly and welcoming!
I had the Lubely’s special sub sandwhich — simple yet delicious! Also picked up some fresh baked cookies and bread for snacking. Everything is reasonably priced!
They have a little bit of everything!

Used Lubeley’s for my wedding cake and it was delicious!
There is no denying, the food here is so good and the cakes are so moist and yummy you need to go here and try it out.
For a design standpoint, I don’t think I would say I was 100% satisfied with the way the cake came out, but the taste was spot-​on!
I would recommend them for your wedding cake, just be VERY clear on the design and what you want.
My favorite was the amaretto cake (so delicious) and the chocolate hazelnut filling (puts it over the top delicious!).
The sandwiches here are also very tasty, good place to stop for lunch.

If there is a better chicken salad on a croissant please tell me. Friendly staff, great coffee and of course the best for last is the bakery goods! A place the locals enjoy and try to keep secret!

They have fantastic cakes. And they will work with you to make something really special for your wedding, birthday or celebration. They always have great cookies that are hand decorated. And even though I do not have a dog have noticed they sell doggie treats — which is cool.

Highly recommend the Raspberry Amaretto cake, pure heaven. I actually had to write this review for my husband because he refused to put his fork down long enough to review the bakery.

I’ve never been to this bakery until Friday, 6÷06÷14 but have driven passed it for years. The display of wedding cakes in the front windows is impressive. There were enough staff on hand to help me the moment I entered. The selection was large and quite creative. The woman working with me was patient as I looked through the many display cases. I must have been a difficult customer as I kept adding items as she was ringing out my order. The cakes looked great. I purchased a cherry stollen, donuts, and several cookies in the shape of Cardinals jerseys with player names in icing.
The menu also indicates a deli and lunch area. There were plenty of places to sit and the parking was ample. Nice place.

This place has been around forever. I had a pastry here before I left on vacation. It was okay but nothing special. I was more charmed by the group of retired men who were hanging out drinking coffee and gossiping. They were quite entertaining.

This is a review based on their wedding cake. The consultation was amazing and I was very excited. The samples she brought out were so delicious and she was so helpful. I had told her I wanted roses coming down the side of the front of the cake and she said that if I supplied the roses and had them already cut, they would put them on the cake for me when it was delivered. I was surprised and delighted! We talked about the style and decorations, and I said I wanted white fondant with silver decoration/​lettering and she agreed. Everything went great, we paid (around $ 400), and I went ever so happily on my way.
Bring on the wedding day and I’m getting my hair done as my maid of honor bursts in, telling me not to freak out, but my wedding cake is blue. So I rushed out, and see that while the fondant is white, the decoration/​lettering is baby blue. Most definitely NOT silver. It looked more like a baby shower cake. Not only that, but there were no roses on it. When I asked why I was told that when it was delivered they said «No, we don’t do that» and left. I was furious. Luckily for me, my aunt is amazing with flowers (she did my bouquets) and she fixed it up beautifully, though nothing could be done about the decoration/​lettering.
When it came time to serve, the cake tasted almost nothing like the sample we tried. I was so disappointed. Luckily we had also bought a Costco cake to make sure there was enough cake and that tasted delicious!
So, overall, I would not buy a wedding cake from them. Very disappointing.

The food is delicious, and the service is remarkable. This place is busy and all food is baked in premises.

Busy on a Sunday. Grabbed a number and ordered the house special sandwich. It was super good. Most people carry out so it was a really quiet dine in experience.

We purchased our wedding cake here and loved it from service to cake. First the staff was super fantastic their were alot of choices, designs and flavors. I had a hard time making a choice and they were patient with us. Everything went well so well that I had no worries at all about how the cake would look or tasted. The tasting was a bit hard due the the choices all being so good. The pricing was vary good. Spent so much less here than other places wanted for a similar cake. Had them use a heavy glass slipper on top of the cake and they made it work perfectly. Thanks to everyone their that made a busy wedding day easy and stress free. If you have a smaller budget and want a great cake drop by and check this place out. 4 thumbs up.

I have passed by Lubeley’s many times but never actually stopped until one day whne I saw that they had Pumpkin Doughnuts. I figured I would give it a try, however i was a little disappointed because they were all out (it was 5:30 so I give them that). I decided that I couldnt leave empty handed and picked up a couple other doughnuts. Overall I wasnt that impressed, the doughnuts were average, the icing was actually the best part very good. I didnt have a chance to try the café, so I cannot really speak for that.

I ordered a Sonic the Hedgehog edible image for my son’s 7^th birthday. I handled everything over the phone. I went to pick up the cake and apparently the order had been lost. Normally this would be a VERY bad experience, but the lady at the desk worked so hard locating the design and they decorated the cake as I waited. They even gave my little guy a free cookie. I have been using this bakery for specialty cakes for years and I knew they would come through for me. If you are looking for a unique cake you MUST give Lubeley’s a try.

Love, love, love Lubeley’s! Went in for a Thanksgiving pie and walked out with a sandwich too. Been back 3 more times since! The special is awesome as are the fudgies. The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is the gooey butter cake, while delicious, could be a bit gooier.
The staff is very helpful and not the least bit judgmental as they playfully tease us for our 4^th visit in 5 days.
Warning: the delicious smell will immediately add five pounds; the tasty treats are addictive!

So I was on the hunt for a monkey face cake. I’m sure you say «Why on earth do you need a monkey face cake». Well my youngest daughter is a total fan of monkeys. She collects stuff monkeys. Her request for her 7^th birthday was a monkey face cake. As any adoring mother would do I wanted to grant her wish.
Well I found my monkey face cake here at Lubeley’s Bakery. I went to go purchase the cake. I wasn’t looking for a huge cake as there was only 6 of us anyway. They had a monkey face cake there that served 10 to 15 people. Perfect I thought! Then I got the price. It will be $ 44 dollars. GASP! For a marble monkey face cake. Ya gotta be kidding me??? Nope, they weren’t kidding. My little monkey face cake was going to be $ 44 dollars, but anything for my little baby as I said «are you stupid» to myself in my head. Service was good while ordering the cake and they took my order down perfectly.
A week later my husband went to go pick the cake up. The cake was pretty tasty. i can see how some of the other reviews would think the cake might be a little dry. It definitely wasn’t the best cake I’ve ever had, but it was good. It did have a lot of icing on it, but the icing wasn’t too sweet like some icing can be on a cake.
I still though can’t get over that price… ACK! Btw, I added a photo of it to the album above.

I love Lubeley’s. They did my wedding cake and it was fantastic – buttercream frosting and delicious soft white cake. Nothing terribly fancy but it was affordable and yummy. It’s not the place to go if you’re looking for a super fancy «Ace of Cakes» type cake but if you’re looking for a classic cake, it’s all good.
I also love their sandwiches. The special sandwich is a close second for my Best Sandwich in St. Louis award (top prize goes to Mom’s Deli).
