I had an absolutely horrible experience. I received a bonus at work so I thought I would treat myself by buying a ring. I found one I liked but I wanted different color stones(blue topaz). I was told that would be no problem. I paid for the ring and they sent off for the stones to put in the ring. They not only screwed it up once, they screwed it up twice by ordering the wrong color stones. Whenever I went to the store, they told me they would make calls or do something and call me back in an hour or so. They lied about that and never called me. I had to go back to the store and deal with them in person. I dealt with two employees. The female was a complete moron and the male was a real jerk and a liar. This whole deal took over a month. I told them that I wanted my money back. They said they didn’t give refunds for purchases over a month old. I informed them it only was because of their stupidity and incompetence that the month had gone by. They finally agreed to give me my money back. What’s worse, they made it sound like they were doing my this big favor. I do not understand why this place is still in business considering you can go across the street to the Galleria and have your choice of jewelers that do a great job. AVOIDTHISPLACETOTALLY

I sadly can’t leave less than one star. This store is awful. The people who work there are the least helpful and their customer service is so terrible it’s unbelievable. We have had problem after problem with the engagement ring my fiancé purchased there. The very day he proposed(my birthday) I looked down and a diamond was missing from the band. That continued to happen 4 more times. Each time he would call they would say«well, what line of work is she in?» as if I was a construction worker or something. Even then, it would be unacceptable. My fiancé had to propose to me with a completely different stone because the one he brought to them was broken(by them) in the setting process. The last time my fiancé was in, he was in to see another stone. When the stone was finally placed(after waiting weeks for them to replace it), it was loose, then too tight, then cracked. They blamed it on the type of stone, not the setting of course. Anyway, my fiancé went in to look at a stone that we had been waiting about a month for, and he noticed the stone was way smaller than my current stone. Walter said«well, the human eye can’t see a 1 mm difference» as if to say that my fiancé should just pass it off to me as the same size. We are now dealing with the corporate office STILL waiting on a stone SIXMONTHSLATER, and I could not be more frustrated. I will tell everyone I know, leave every bad review I can and possibly even take an ad out in my kids’ yearbook warning people to stay away from this horrible place. Ladies, if he «went to jared» RUN the other way.

Jake is absolutely amazing! My husband is in the army and although we had to have a «shot gun» wedding, we knew a long time before that we’d be spending the rest of our lives together. Before nick I never had a reason to dream of the ring, dress etc. I truly didn’t believe I would ever find the«one» and all men were evil. nick and I have known each other for over half our lives. Yes we have the fairy tale love story but we weren’t able to have our fairy tale wedding I had started to dream of. I first met jake while my now husband was at AIT, we had been talking about getting married one day and he wanted to pick the ring out himself… I stopped him right there. Since I had no idea what I wanted in a ring and I wouldn’t want him to pick one out and me have to live with it(who would honestly tell the love of their life they hate the ring they picked out and return it) I told him I was going to just go look, NOPRESSURE! This is where I met jake, he literally spent 3 ½ HOURS with me, helping me try every ring they had on, telling me all about the different diamonds(which would sparkle more, which had more bang for the buck). What truly blew my mind is that other customers came in and I told him to go help them I know he gets paid on commission and I don’t want to keep him … He REFUSED! I was there alone and told him we didn’t even have a date set and most of all nick hadnt even proposed yet, I was simply looking for when it does happen. He never made me feel like I was wasting his time, NOTONCE. After 3 ½ hours I picked my top 3, #1 outrageous but my abdolute love by niel lane #2 modestly priced, and #3 way below budget. After nick found out he COULD be taking a Job with the army in Chicago we both agreed that if he got the job we would get married before we moved. Again he had not received orders yet but I wanted to show him what I had picked out(and I really wanted to try them on again) I was elated when we walked in and jake was there! He spent another 3 hours with nick and I and again never made us feel like we were wasting his time even though we still didn’t have a date and we were just looking. Nick got the job and before we made it official my mom said she would give us my grandmothers ring bc we are young and a ring would set us back a bit(even with his promotion) well typical of my mother she backed out when my amazing future husband drove 1 hour to go get the ring, we were getting married in 2 days now with no ring. he immediately drove to Jared(of course jake was there) and jake took amazing care of him! He walked him patiently through everything, nick is so amazing and I told him I don’t care about the ring I care about marrying him… needless to say he didn’t listen. He picked my #1, engraved it with«love of my life» added a ruby to the o in of(both cancers) and sodered it together. 2 days before the wedding and they had it done the very next day for us!!! Nick and I could not thank jake enough for everything he has done for us. We are very young and he was not biased towards us at all and boy did it pay off for jake, he got a hefty commission and he deserves EVERYSINGLEPENNY! I stopped in to thank him personally before we left for chicago and we tslked for 1 hour while i browsed the pandora charms i want to add to my bracelet. He then took my ting and my pandora bracelet and cleaned it for me. When he called to follow up we ended up talking for 45 minutes catching up. He is the BEST and he had no idea how much we would be spending and treated us with the utmost respect the entire time. If the manager reads this he needs a raise !!! I am a bargain shopper and jake has swayed me, we will never go anywhere else or to anyone else. I even got his employee number so any future purchases even though we are chicago will only go to him because he deserves it !

I am a very disappointed Jared’s customer. I have purchased necklaces rings earrings from Jared’s in the past and been happy. However my recent experience has changed that. Joe proposed to me in march of this year and had bought my ring from here. I am absolutely in love with my ring joe picked out. The issue starts here. Joe was not told that an appraisal does not come with the purchase. It would cost extra and is now done by a third party. I took my ring to a friend of the family’s jeweler and found out that my ring was in bad shape. Part of the metal in the front side was completely melted and diamonds are on the verge of falling out. The jeweler let me see it under the microscope and also drew me w picture of it. I took this picture and my ring to Jared’s and expressed my concern and was not happy with their reponse. I was then told that 3 people examined the ring before joe left the store. The jeweler the inspector and the sales person. Also my ring had been cleaned twice at this store and once At kays and it was insepcted those times too. no one said anything to me. He was very unapologetic. He ended up ordering me a new ring. I was told it would take 3 months and that a 1200 deposit was required to order the new ring. I said no way I was paying that and then made me feel like he was doing me a favor to waive the 1200.00. I have been stewing on this for a little while and after Talking to joe we decided we no longer wanting to keep this ring and do not trust them on my new ring. We went Into Jared’s today and the manager was very nice and apologetic. However he explained to me that diamonds had actually fallen out and the globs of metal was to keep the diamonds on it. It turns out they had my ring in stock and were willing to fix it today. That was really nice of them but only adds to my dissatisfaction. It would have been nice for someone to call me and let me know a ring came In for Stock. Who knows how long that had my ring in for and could have fixed it much sooner than 3 months. I decided After all this I wanted our money back for the ring and would rather go to a locally owned jeweler where I know they will do it right the first time. you guys refused to give me my Money back because it was after the 30 days. So that’s fine we will sell it on Craigslist and let everyone we know not to go to ur company’s stores for their special occasions and to support their local jewelers.

This location has always been exceptionally wonderful and helpful, even the Manager Walter. Any time I have had a question or concern, they never made me feel it was my fault or that it was an inconvenience to them. They truly want their customers to be happy. The store is quiet, professional, everyone is engaged and helpful and I can’t say enough nice things. I’m glad my husband and I got our rings there and the warranty that covers practically everything! Definitely worth it. As for the previous comment about appraising, that individual they use is a great appraiser and it’s not a free service. Jared didn’t charge you for it so you shouldn’t give them a 1 star. You should have also done your due diligence and asked about the cost.

$ 1200 to appraise 7 rings, a necklace, two pairs of studs. Get outta here with that.
