Carrie M.

Business Owner

Carrie Meyer has had an interest in cameras and photography from a very young age, when her parents allowed her to first experiment with several of their cameras. She fondly remembers her first Polaroid Instamatic, and the variety of fun shots she was able to capture with it.

She is the owner of Insomniac Studios and The Dancers Eye — Fine Art Bellydance Photography. She is proficient with film and digital cameras, but her recent preference is digital media.

Carrie has a wide range of varied photographic interests and preferred subjects– including portraiture, nature macro photography, animals, architecture, and live performance photography. Her theater background and her love of music and the arts have inspired much of her performance photography. She has photographed many local and regional musicians, dancers, and fire performers.
