Hoppy’s Self Service Inc

Hoppy’s services the washers and dryers in my apartment building. Although I admittedly don’t use them that often (shhh…), my washing and drying experience at this apartment has been the best of my life!
It’s inexpensive and quick to wash & dry clothes in the machines provided and I had never had a problem with them. A few weeks ago I went to the basement to throw my laundry into the dryer and a Hoppy’s maintenance man was working on one of them. He asked me if I was the one who called in the maintenance request and I told him no, but that I was planning on using the dryers. He told me that I could still use the other one, but it would be about 15 minutes before he was finished with the not-​so-​functioning machine. It was no problem, and I told him I’d be back in a little bit to do a clothes switcheroo to the dryers. The super nice man told me that when he was done he would set time on the dryer so that I could use it when I came back :)
Sure enough, upon return to the basement, the dryer had been fixed and he had set a free hour on the previously broken machine for me to use! Woohooo! I put some clothes in the other machine as well and to my surprise and delight, he had put an hour on that dryer as well! The dryers worked flawlessly, which was relieving because I had to leave for a business trip an hour after I threw the clothes in the dryer!
Hoppy’s saved the day and made my day! I know comping the dryer cost just saved me $ 1.50, but a penny saved is a penny earned and he absolutely didn’t have to do that… especially since I wasn’t the one who called in the request!
