I see that there are 2 not so great reviews on here. Ignore them and grab your friends and some cash and head down to this place for the best shaved ice ever. Also I have asked what the «secret cream» is and it’s pastry cream so quit speculating over whether it was condensed milk or evaporated milk. And the syrup is exactly what you want it to be and lots of it. They offer free ice cream and even have snow cones for dogs. We drive 30 – 40 minutes to go to this snow cone shack and will continue to do so because of their commitment to quality, value and customer service. No other place has compared but apparently some guys grandma is killing it in AK. Whatever.

This may be highly biased. My grandma owns a snow cone shop in southern Arkansas and she makes the best sno-​cones (Arkansas spelling) on earth. She has the same machine that Glaciers uses, except maybe 60 years older.
That being said the sno-​cones at Glaciers are not that great. The ice is chunky and crispy, not snow like. The flavorings are not very good either. I had lemon-​lime and peach sno-​cones, yes two. The lemon-​lime was OK, the peach awful. Nothing like my dear grandma’s.
I think these things can be fixed. As a 26 year sno-​cone connoisseur, I know that the lady making the sno-​cones was pulling the lever too hard to get great snow like ice. I will inform her next time. The flavorings need to be improved too. They could use higher quality flavorings and better sugar, you can’t skimp on these items ass they make a great sno-​cone truly amazing. They also need condensed milk. This is so crucial. And stop all the cutesy stuff, focus on making the simple flavors good. Hopefully the owners read this and step their game up. I can point them to the Wren Movies sno-​cone stand in Crossett AR if they need a good example…

I stopped at Glaciers with my boyfriend (I’m sure his review isn’t far behind) after going to Sappington Farmers’ Market. Now, I have just recently been introduced to the world of snow cones, but let me tell you, I am a fast learner…
My first introduction was over Thanksgiving when my boyfriend’s grandma came up to visit with her trusty snow cone machine in tow. She owns a snow cone shop in Arkansas and has quite a thriving business. Her ice was literally like snow, it is so fine. I have been told that is because she regularly sharpens her blades and she slowly pushes the ice through. Her flavors were absolutely unbelievable too.
Glaciers was good and had I never had these Arkansas snow cones, I probably would have thought they were great. The ice wasn’t fine enough and I got a few pretty big hunks of ice. The flavors tasted so terribly artificial too. The peach tasted like soap from bath and body works. The key lime pie was pretty good and it came with what they called «cream» on top, I think it was evaporated milk, but I wish they would have had sweetened condensed milk, because that’s my favorite!
I am sure I will be back, as my boyfriend LOVES snow cones, even not so great snow cones. They remind him of his childhood summers in Arkansas. I am hoping to find a flavor that I love, I’ll let you know…

I’ve been gone for more than 10 years and in that time I’ve forgotten how snow cones are a total St. Louis tradition for hot summer nights. Chicago had Italian Ice stands everywhere but St. Louis owns the snow cone (ok, and frozen custard but let’s talk about snow cones here).
I saw Glaciers from the road and looked forward to a treat all day. Delicious. I’ve had strawberry and pineapple and both were fantastic. I’ve also been able to sample their cream flavors and they’re so good. Almost like ice cream.
The workers were friendly and quick and the prices were good. So glad the snow cones of my childhood summer memories are here.

Best Sno-​Cone place around. Good flavors, good sizes, good prices, good texture. Better than the place in the Kirkwood Farmer’s Market, and better than the place on Lin Ferry. Not a whole lot else that can be said.

I have a soft spot for sno-​cones (or are these technically Hawaiian shaved ice?). The consistency of snow with flavored sugar syrup – in so many flavors. Although, to be honest, I haven’t noticed much of a difference in quality among the area sno-​cone stands, this is a good one and has a pretty stellar variety of flavors. Okay, there’s the difference. Having tons of flavors, and they do.

Excellent sno-​cone stand with a great staff. I love coming here and it has quickly become my secondary sno-​cone stand (Sno-​Biz on Telegraph will always hold a special place in my heart…)
Regardless, this place is fantastic. They have a ton of flavors, the ice is shaved down so it melts right in your mouth without a ton of chewing and gnawing, and they have an array of toppings like whipped cream that I have never witnessed at any other sno-​cone stand.
I have never waited long here, and the prices are far cheaper than any other summertime desert you may be craving. It may be just a random hut in the corner of a farmer’s market parking lot, but I promise you, it’s worth keeping your eye out for, just make sure you get there before they close up for the cold weather.

Glaciers is a little stand off of Watson that sells cups of flavored iced. They’ve been around a few years, and are only open during the warm months. There are a few different sizes, the smallest of which is about the size of a soft drink can and is about $ 1.35. Glaciers has a ton of different flavors to choose from, and they’ll always let you sample flavors for free. You can also mix flavors, but I’m not sure if that costs more.
The people who work here are always really happy and truly seem to enjoy working here. Even when there is a line, the wait is short. Just look for the little building on the edge of the parking lot.
The glaciers are always very tasty, and everyone who tries them falls in love with them. There are toppings you can get as well, such as bubble gum, candies, whipped cream — or something like that, and more. This is a wonderful, cheap and delicious tradition that you’ll sure to love!
