Firehouse Bar & Grill St. Louis

An inexpensive lunch in a location with great atmosphere. Had the Buffalo Chicken Wrap, which was great, but the real capper was the fries. Saw some said the service was poor but I thought it was really good, although I would say it wasn’t busy. I would definitely come back again.

By far my favorite wings and fries in St Louis! Small bar atmosphere which is what I love about it. Every time I come here and I’ve been here quite often in the past year, I’ve never left disappointed! Hope this place stays around for a very long time. It is one of my favorite places to eat!

Went here last Thursday and arrived early enough to take advantage of their $ 5 domestic pitchers during hh which includes mich golden light, my fave! It did take the server about 10 – 15 minutes to even notice we were there, but after that service was just fine.
Started off with the wings which were delicious, although the bf was certain it was not actually a pound of wings which they claim on their menu.
I ordered the gyro and fries which were surprisingly really good! Gyro meat was tasty and the fries were awesome! Bf had the French onion soup and potato skins which he said were good as well.
We stayed for rock n roll bingo (which I guess is every Thursday, and free!) and we had a blast. They also have a pool table and darts in the back which we played while waiting for bingo to start.
We will definitely be back!

This is a nice little place. They had a gyro and fries special, which was surprisingly good. I wouldn’t expect a good gyro outside of a Greek restaurant, but it’s what I was craving, so I gave it a shot. My mother loves chicken spedini, so she ordered that. She said it was dry, and it wasn’t like any chicken spedini she ordered before. It was just a whole grilled chicken breast with breadcrumbs. Usually it’s cut and pinwheeled with cheese or something. My aunt got a burger, but I don’t know what she thought of it, other than wanting A1, which they didn’t have. There is a banquet room downstairs. There is a fireman theme, and they accept donations for firemen or something. Music was a little loud for our taste but still quieter than many other places. They had a pool table and TVs. We were promptly waited on (the table next to us waited a long time to be waited on), but then it seemed to take a long time to get our food. We came to visit with each other, so the wait wasn’t too bothersome. I’d go back.

Second time here and it been consistently awesome! Food is fresh, HOT, and cooked perfect. Plenty of items on the menu to suit any dieters needs. They have great specials on game nights and Tuesday’s are trivia nights. Do yourself a favor and skip Hoot*** and ShowM**.

About what you’d expect, lots of normal barfare with fryer oil to spare. Certainly not bad by any means and the prices for food and drinks are awesome. Came here for a Tuesday trivia night and we had fun. The fire department theme is great and I heard former and active firefighters own the place which we are happy to support.

Really cool décor with a Firehouse theme (duh). Very friendly waitress who introduced herself and asked my name as well and remember it throughout lunch. Got the stuffed mushrooms first and they were outstanding! Stuffed with cheese and sausage breaded and fried to perfection! Next came the Chief Burger with fries. Burger was 1 ½″ thick but odd shaped and didn’t cover the bun but the taste was outstanding! The fries were outstanding as well. Nothing really different here just really good food! Spent my entire lunch listening to the waitress order their food from a rude vendor sitting across from me. I think they could have taken that in the back or something. Prices were a bit high at $ 21.58 for just me. That includes all you can drink soda at $ 2.50. This was a good lunch.

The food was good. I had the BBQ Burger and fries for lunch and it was as expected.
The building has been different restaurants in the past and the building itself is hard to see from the road unless you’re looking for it. Stopped at lunchtime on a weekday and the place was dead. Only one other table. Hopefully this place will stay in business.

I stopped by for a late night drink and some grub after an event in the area. The bar is adorned with fire protection gear. But other than that, it’s your average sports bar with plenty of bar games and TV’s everywhere. The late night menu includes a handful of fried apps and pizza. I grabbed a STL style pizza with bacon, onioin, and jalapenos. It hit the spot but was not dramatically different than the other bars in town. Service was a bit slow, but we did come in at the same time as a whole bunch of other people that were at the event.

I had lunch here a few days back and was surprised it wasn’t as busy as I thought it would be. All those in my group order a sandwich for lunch and they all looked good and it was confirmed that they tasted good. I took the other road and ordered the special of the day. Tutto Mare with Caesar salad as a sub. Although it was an upcharge it was nice to know that they didn’t. The dressing was the best I’ve had in awhile. The pasta was very good and the sauce seemed to taste as though it was from scratch. The only downside was the shrimp on the dish was shell on. Its the first time I’ve had it with the shell on. Although it was good it was very messing peeling the shrimp covered with a cream/​alfredo sauce. I’d go back for the sandwich/​burgers but not sure about anything trying to be upscale. The pretzel bites with cheese sauce were very tasty.

Well what can I say? Have you ever been to an Applebee’s close to closing? Same thing at this place with a fire house theme. Went at six on a Monday and only 3 other tables were there. 2 of which were paying the check. The food was simple and uninspired for the most part. And the service was adequate and distant.
I had the chicken burrito served with lettuce, tomato, salsa and sour cream. I’ll be honest never have been a fan of lettuce served with my burrito but this lettuce was shriveled and brown. It looked like it had been sitting on the plate waiting for someone to order the burrito since about 11:00 or so. The salsa looked like it was fresh last Tuesday or so. The burrito itself was fairly tasty. It had a nice cheese sauce on top and the chicken inside was tender and juicy.
The real highlight was the dish both my fellow diners ordered. Chicken Spedini. The chicken was amazing! Cooked perfectly with a crust of Italian herbs, parmesan and garlic. The side pasta had a great attempt at an Alfredo sauce. The only downfall mentioned by my fellow diners was the side of broccoli. Huge trees that were cold and flavor less.
All in all an F for ambiance. B for service. And a healthy B– for food. Would I go back? Maybe if I was in the area and all my other options were voted down by my friends.

The place to go for Mizzou football! Great food with cheap pitchers! Ring the alarm!

Ever want to hang out at a place like Cheers where everybody knows your name? Then you’ve come to the right place. The owners and servers at the Firehouse Bar and Grill know how to make your meal an event. Good food and friendly servers. You can play pool as you wait for your food. Try a round of darts. Terrific place to meet up with family and hang out watching the Cardinal on their big screens. Highly recommended. Plus they have a giant room available for big parties in the basement.

I have watched owners fail at this location for years. I have rarely been able to get in the door before the new tenant was out of business. So I waited for a while to see if the Firehouse had any staying power.
Me and my wife tried dinner here today. I got the meatloaf, my wife got the chicken Caesar wrap. This meatloaf is the first one I have ever tried stuffed with pepperoni and it was excellent. It came with very good green beans and fairly good mashed potatoes.
The service was okay, certainly not stellar but that was not my expectation. The manager stopped by the table to check on our satisfaction, I always appreciate a manager who works the floor.
Give these folks a try.

I have no idea how this is the #2 place in south county. It’s terrible service and food.

It was ok… the sandwich was overpriced for what I got… not sure I’d want to go back and watch one server act as the bartender and hostess too… it was pitiful. I wanted to jump up and help her out Sooooooo bad… not sure if it was a fluke that day, but I’m not even sure I want to go back. I might. we’ll see…

I really wanted to give this place a 3.5 star but rounded down for a few reasons. This was my first visit; I went with the shrimp po’ boy. The shrimp are pretty small, which could be a pro or a con because the smaller the shrimp the more breading crunch, and the hot sauce they are tossed in is pretty tasty.
Our server was extremely friendly but after she took our order and brought out the food we never saw her again, so our drinks sat empty for 15 min. I think there were only 2 servers working and 12 tables, so I understand being busy, but if that is the case the manager on duty needs to be walking around and helping out. It was also noon so they should prepare for a lunch rush.
I’ll most likely give them another chance when American bar food sounds appealing, but no special trips will be made to head out there.

There is one goofy son of a bitch that does the dance in Silence of the Lambs. Beware if his eyes and dong. Both huge

Okay– when i first saw this place on Unilocal, i had NO idea that this was located in the plaza, in that little A-​Frame building thats been a million things under the sun !
So, naturally, I really wasnt expecting too much, but the reviews were good and we were looking for a new place to try.
The décor is typical firehouse-​esque décor– nothing out the ordinary, but its cool to look at.
We started off by ordering the fried provel cheese– Ugh, i cant tell how in love we are with the fried provel from joey b’s and thought these might compare–
These are defnitely hand made fried provel bites— I am not sure how joey b’s gets there fried cheese to look so perfect (maybe they arent hand made) but these definitely did compare–
They were not as gooey as Joey B’s, but you really cant mess up fried provel– imo
I ordered the meatball sandwich, and a side salad–

he really liked it– and i really enjoyed the meatball sandwich–
i didnt eat any of the bread, but it tasted like the meatballs were homemade–

The firehouse bar and grill seems to be a fun atmosphere for groups of all ages. The layout is spacious with activities such as pool tables, darts and other electronic games such as golf and big buck hunting.
It also includes a nice patio so you are able to enjoy the weather on given days.
As a new restaurant they are still tweaking their menu, but from multiple visits I haven’t had a reason to complain about any of the items I have ordered in regard to food or drinks. They have cheap beers specials, always having a «beer of the day» for $ 2.00 and drafts are only $ 2.50. Buckets served at $ 12.00. It’s also a nice St Louis theme to have specials during sporting events which I’ve been able to enjoy with friends and family. $ 5.00 Pitchers during St. Louis sporting events.
My food favorites probably include the pretzel bites, jalapeño poppers, pizza’s, and quesadilla.
I would suggest the managers on staff to more often approach customers to show their care and make sure they are enjoying their food as service to make sure they are having the best experience possible. (Always want to bring people back through the doors and have people spread the word in a good manner)
I would highly recommend giving this restaurant a shot for anyone looking for a new place to try! I hope this helps people out.
