I would not buy another reptile from this shop. We bought a bearded dragon from them three months ago and after taking her to the vet for a check up, it was determined she had metabolic bone disorder from a severe lack of calcium. I decided instead of trying to return her that we would do our best to save her. The vet prescribed us liquid calcium and we had to hand feed her baby food, but it was not enough to overcome her past neglect and sadly she died. The vet told us he has seen a lot of reptiles in poor health come from them.

Bought a starter cage setup for a bearded dragon for my sons birthday. After opening the door to find HUNDREDS of snakes, and after realizing my tantalizing, paralyzing fear of snakes, the owner, Jim, literally held my hand throughout the store. And didn’t make fun of me as I stood there shaking and sweating, ready to pass out and pee on myself. He worked WAY within my budget, and went the extra mile for me! An amazing place to shop. Locally owned and has a GREAT superb trained staff! If he’s willing to hold my hand again, I will be in there to buy all the bearded dragon stuff and tell all of my friends! I probably won’t be buying a snake. If you’re in the market, however, I think he owns every snake in Missouri! Wonderful wonderful wonderful experience!!!

This is a reptile pet shop in So. City. They have been here forever and I’ve been coming there forever…:). This is pretty much the ONLY place nearby that you could get a variety of snakes, lizards, arachnids etc… that was not a chain. This is part of the reason that I come. It’s also like going to a weird Zoo since they have all sorts of critters all over the place. The people here are very casual and can be very helpful. They will also take in unwanted reptiles and snakes who need rescue. I will mention that this place is really not the cleanest of places. I KNOW they do better in this area. I feel that if you are going to have turtles, reptiles, snakes etc… around the public… they REALLY, REALLY need to be maintained in a clean environment.
